Chess & Taub Family Dentistry

"I have been going to this dentist establishment for over 10 years, starting when Dr. Chess was still there (RIP), and I have always felt welcome. Despite moving away, I remained loyal to the practice, making a 30-minute drive for each visit. After my appointments, I schedule the next ones for the next 6 months to ensure compliance with my oral care, which is important to me. My next appointment was initially set for October, but due to a shortage, I was told, it was rescheduled to November 1st, and then again to December 5th. I expressed my concern during the second rescheduling, as I would be in my 8th month of pregnancy and unable to reschedule again. Today, I received another call canceling my appointment. I am dissatisfied with this service because I expressed that I was pregnant, which means it's important for me to still be seen by my dentist, as pregnancy can have a negative effect on the mother's teeth. Yet, out of all the people they could cancel, they chose me for the fourth time. I must admit that I am African American, and while I don't usually consider race as a factor, it has crossed my mind. Needless to say, I will be switching dentistry. Hopefully, I can find something closer and in time before I give birth."
