"Beautiful state park! It's very clean, well kept, and a perfect day at the lake. Kayaks and paddle boards to rent, clean bathrooms, playground areas, lots of picnic tables with metal grills, etc!! Beautiful area of the lake!! Bring a picnic, a hammock, your own kayak ... have a perfect day! Even on a holiday weekend, it didn't feel crowded. Will be back!!!"

"Attended a wedding at the lake. Nice event! The park is really clean. Traffic entering the park was backed up. It's about a 10-minute queue. This event was no charge to the attendees, but there is a charge to enter the park."

"Great park! Clean, plenty of picnic tables and grills. A few shade trees over the beach area if you do not have an umbrella. Several bathrooms around the beach area. We found a couple of spots to catch tadpoles!"

"So special… being at the state park beach was relaxing and restoring. My Yorkie piper loved sitting on the dock while i read.. the independent operation that rents kayaks, paddle boards and floating tubes was affordable, and the staff was incredibly kind."

"This is an amazing little beachy lake area. Good for the kids there is a playground right there everything is close to the medic and bathroom with showers. Everything was clean and it was a busy summer weekend. People going canoeing and kayaking. Just a chill fun vibe all around. Love going in the lake. This is coming from a camping lover. So if you love being outside and in the mountains by the lake this is the place for you. It’s free access if you going camping on the Deep Creek State Park campground and probably a few other residential perks for being a resident. But it’s $3 a car for MD residents and $5 for everyone else."
