Reviews
"Hot Pot is a unique cuisine, and somewhat of an acquired taste if you haven't tried it before. Basically, it's a large pot of boiling broth, and you cook meats, vegetables, and other items in it while dipping the cooked item in your own sauce before eating it. So we've decided to dine here in celebration of a special occasion. They will accept reservation for a party of six or larger. The beef served here is of good quality, American Wagyu beef. Also available are lamb, pork belly, and a wide variety of seafood. Besides Hot Pot, they also offer a nice selection of Sushi. It is a set price all you can eat setup, with a 2 hours limit. However, the service/preparation was less than desirable. Some of our order took over an hour to come out! Also, management decided to staff only one server for the entire floor. As you can imagine, the server seems to be overwhelmed at times. This is not a fault of the server, but of the management. The condiments offered to make your own sauce seems lacking in variety as well. Most Hot Pot places offers a wide variety of condiments for your sauce. This place offered only a handful. Considering the pricing and service provided, we feel that there are better alternatives in Chinatown, and other locations."
"Be prepared for a bit of a wait, just go walk around the city and your table will be ready in no time. Food was pretty good it is all you can eat. I definitely recommend getting the spicy soup base it is amazing."
"Wow, what a steal! We came for hotpot, on a Sunday and we're more than happy! $39 per person, all-you-can-eat for an hour and a half, which included hotpot, sushi, and appetizers! Drinks (including sodas and alcoholic beverages) were an additional cost. We didn't even make it the full 90 minutes before giving up, but even so, it was more than worth what we paid- just make sure you come with a big appetite! I highly recommend the Waygu Ribeye and the Sukiyaki broth!"
"Came in for restaurant week right when the place opened. There's only the AYCE for $40 or the restaurant week menu sets, no substitutions or additions (can't add more meat for extra). I picked the hand pulled restaurant week menu where you pick one protein, 4 toppings, either traditional or hand pulled noodles or tomato broth or pho broth. They ran out of tomato broth... somehow. I guess they didn't stock up for restaurant week, or make any in the morning. Odd since we were first in. They didn't tell us until after we picked our toppings which through off the flavor expectancy dynamic. Maybe it came with the pho, but the toppings we ordered weren't right. Bean sprouts were on everything, and none of us had garlic. They did give us some unexpected sauces and toppings which did have it. Wish they told us before we picked toppings they put in our soup. Bathroom had no paper towels or an air dryer. Took 50 ish minutes to get our entre with 4 other people on a Friday afternoon, so an average chunk of time. Server was friendly and attentive though. Seemed like the only one working the front. The noodles and soup were a bit disappointing. The noodles were really soft, maybe a bit undercooked and the pho broth that we were forced to choose was not pho broth. There's no flavor, basically water. Thankfully the extra sauces made it so the soup had.. some flavor. Like other reviews, left a little hungry. Would not come back for soup."
"Chubby cattle is a great place if you can’t decide between hotpot or sushi. for 39 per person it includes an all you can eat for sushi and hotpot. the quality of the meat is great, and you can’t beat the price."
