"Frustrating Experience with Bulldog Federal Credit Union I recently encountered a frustrating experience with Bulldog Federal Credit Union, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts on their outdated approach to card security and customer service. While I appreciate the importance of protecting customers from potential fraud, Bulldog Federal Credit Union's handling of the situation left much to be desired. My card was blocked, and although I understand the need for such precautions, their lack of a white list system was particularly inconvenient. When I inquired about the possibility of adding my school payments to a white list to avoid repeated issues, I was surprised to learn that Bulldog Federal Credit Union doesn't have such a system in place. The customer service representative suggested a note on my account as a workaround, but couldn't assure me that it would be effective since the customer service is outsourced. This lack of a streamlined and modern approach to customer service is concerning, especially in an era where technology allows for more efficient solutions. Having to call in each month before my school runs the card seems like an archaic inconvenience. The representative's admission that there's no guarantee the note would be seen promptly due to outsourcing is disheartening. Furthermore, the absence of flexibility in adapting to holiday schedules raises additional concerns. What if the 4th of each month falls on a holiday? The lack of a contingency plan for such situations reflects a primitive business model that needs urgent reevaluation. While I understand the desire to support local banks, Bulldog Federal Credit Union's reluctance to adopt more modern and customer-friendly practices leaves much to be desired. I hope they reconsider their approach to card security and customer service to align more closely with contemporary banking standards. In the meantime, I find it challenging to recommend Bulldog Federal Credit Union to others looking for a hassle-free and up-to-date banking experience."
"Bulldog Federal Credit Union's fraud department declined my card three different times for three different transactions for no reason. I contacted both bulldog and their fraud department and neither can give me a straight answer on why it happens. One more time and I'm taking my money elsewhere just be aware. Yes there was plenty of money in the account to cover the transaction."
"Been with Bulldog for 32 years. There has been struggles with finances through years at times. But, after taking a CASHIERS check to Bulldog and then placing a 5 day hold on that checks is absolutely ridiculous! Will go through the headache of changing banks."
"Can I leave zero stars? Please? Ok so I opened up a checking and savings account online a few days ago. So today I decided to go into the branch, being my first time, to; get deposit tickets, get the information necessary for having direct deposits made, get information on savings accounts, open up accounts for my children, and making a deposit. When we walked in no customer was there. There was no "hello" from anyone. No greeter. No blank deposit tickets where they should be kept where there is small desk areas with pens. No sign-in sheet to speak with the manager or persons to meet with to go over these aspects, but there was a designated waiting area with 4 chairs so we sat down. I made eye contact with at least 5 staff. No one said a word. Ten minutes later a teller, who was approximately 20 feet away spoke loudly "are you waiting for someone?". In summary, I wasted over 30 minutes and was treated unprofessionally. I closed the accounts and I regret ever opening them up to being with. I should have read the reviews beforehand."
"Worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. Jennifer Fetchen can’t handle a simple dispute and will make you do all the work. Poor customer service. Can’t receive a call back. When you call the local branch you get connected to a call center in the Middle East where you also receive no help whatsoever. I will be taking my accounts as well as my husband and his business account elsewhere. This is a poor excuse for an establishment that is supposed to protect your money."
