"My boyfriend and I had ramen there and we both had stomach issues and problems right after, I don’t know if it was the broth or the noodles but something was wrong. I had the veggie ramen, and it tested okay but it didn’t have any flavor, the veggies needed to be cooked for longer and the food tasted like pre-made, they did not put any effort into making a good meal. The service was good, but it was only 3 guest in the restaurant. the table was clean but the windows and floors were very dirty. If wasn’t for the stomach issues problem and the bad food I would come back again because I like the place, but the food needs to be a lot better."
"Really excellent ramen, among the best I've had in the Philly area. I had the Akamaru Modern ramen and crispy calamari. Calamari was great, but nothing too special. Ramen was fantastic, great mix of spice and salt in broth, soft and flavorful chashu, and honestly a lot of volume to the noodles and broth. Very filling dish and almost as good as my favorites in NYC. Would definitely return to this location if I'm in the Manayunk area."
"I dined here a couple of weekends ago and could not be happier with the experience. It was a cold and dreary day -- perfect for a steamy, hot bowl of ramen. My husband and I ordered the takoyaki appetizer, the mayu ramen, and the akamaru modern ramen. We love spicy food so we were pleasantly surprised by the heat in both of our ramen bowls, which is not super common. My akamaru ramen also came with a delightfully flavorful dollop of this garlicky paste, which tasted amazing when mixed into the broth. The ambience of the restaurant is also pretty neat, almost like a karaoke studio. I was very impressed with the flavors here and look forward to returning!"
"We had a good experience here but felt it was overpriced and not exactly fresh. The appetizers tasted like they came from the freezer section and were just reheated. Disappointing. The Sake seems slightly overpriced but I am not well versed in the market value of Saki I will admit. The ramen was great and the karaoke bar was cute but I won't be going back here."
"Really cool plan on Main st. Projectors hooked up playing old school music videos and a chill vibe. The food itself was phenomenal. The fried chicken appetizer was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The spicy mayo gave it an extra kick. The ramen itself was really good. My favorite was the Akamaru . The pork was tender and the broth was flavorful. Would definitely recommend stopping in."
