"We were the only visitors all day, and it was perfect for us. My fire sprinkler man husband really enjoyed himself"
"A must visit if you have kids who love the fireman. This place is very informative which shows the evolution of the fire department. They have vintage fire engines, old instruments and the history behind it. The entry to this place is absolutely free, however they would appreciate donations. Parking could be a challenge however you can find some paid parking around the corner. The staff is friendly and pretty chatty."
"An incredible exposition of the history of urban fire fighting and the leading role of Philadelphia took in advancing the state of the industry, as well as a beautiful memorial to firefighters killed in the line of duty. It is well worth taking an hour or two to a visit and make a donation!"
"A super cool experience and quick walk through Phillys history. Everyone ages 3-50 enjoyed the visit. The Firefighter that was there on 4/29 was so informative and went out of his way to give my family extra information and history. Also this experience is Free (make sure you donate something though!!)"
"Great museum of Philadelphia’s history of their fire department!! They have a ton of photos and everything is displayed in an easy way to walk around and read and see them. My favorite things from here were the Fire Markers and learning about the Union Fire Department. I also enjoyed seeing the steam engines and axes and ladders and chemical extinguishers. They also had a fire safety area for children. Would highly suggest for anyone wanting somewhere to spend an hour or so. We reserved tickets online and they didn’t check when we got there a little late. We met Brian who was very friendly and helpful in talking to us about PFD and places to eat."
