"There is something very special about Excursion! The atmosphere and provisions are rare and unmatched. The owners treat you like an old friend and there is a certain warmth that you step into that I have not found at any other establishment. The ciders are exquisite and inventive, always new options and so exciting to try. They are stunning in color and have a clean, true to the heritage tartness. The saffron as well as the sake & plum ciders have been especially memorable, though they are all pretty exceptional. The food is seasonal, local and superb. The cheese plate consistently features fantastic local cheeses and trying the latest melange is always impressively delightful. Doug, Jillian and their team are absolute masters at their craft. The decor is simultaneously gorgeous, moody, cozy and inviting. There is a certain timeless underground tavern energy there. We always leave better than we came! Good for a low key hang or a fine light dinner date. It’s truly a culinary delight. Go for the cider, stay for the everything."

"What a sweet spot!! Wonderful atmosphere and they get some really nice music going. The food and drinks are all made with local flair. The owners are phenomenal & can tell you all about the local sourcing for the ingredients. I appreciate the care that is put into the craft here. They offer a variety of flavors and I really like the less sweet / more dry offerings. Definitely treat yourself with a visit here."

"A great place for Cider in Phoenixville PA. We didn't have any food, but it looked good. The Cider was very tasty. They also have beer from surrounding breweries & non alcoholic drinks as well. The service is top notch with a cool rustic atmosphere."
