"Geico is the worst car insurance company. They want customers that dont use there service so they can just collect your money and when the time is right they want to drop you or raise your policy payments. I have been with Geico twice in 12 years, I had them since 2012. Long story short, 0 accidents, 0 claims my credit score over 800. They sent me a letter saying they are raising my policy with a new offer or they are dropping me. The first time I dropped them because they kept on increasing my policy by $20 every 6 months and they had no real reason why, I always remember this one “its summer time and people tend to go out more”. I ended up dropping them for Allstate which were really good to me. 2yrs later Geico comes knocking on the door saying they want a second chance and $30 cheaper a month. I came back and worst mistake ever. Never going back to geico even if its for free. I rather pay more and feel more appreciated by a company that actually cares about there customers and not just there money."
"I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I had 6 cars insured with them along with our home. When I sold my house, they knew because I was asking for a quote on the new home. I ended up going with auto owners insurance because they gave me better benefits for a very similar monthly rate. A year later, I got a letter from geico saying that they were going to withdraw money from my account for the new year mortgage insurance. I thought they were referring to my new house and figured they had made a mistake. Well no. They never canceled my policy when I sold my old house. They owed me about 1500.00 but they will only backtrack 8 months. What a bunch of bull. They constantly try to tell me that I have a policy with them for cars and a home when I don't have anything with them. Please beware of them. They lost a good customer . If anyone wants to shop around try auto owners insurance for car and home."
"I am working out a situation where a person ran a stop sign ruining my families only car, that persons insurance company wasn't receptive or understanding,so I decided let me get help through my insurance company GEICO! Day &night the difference in how I was handled. Thanks GEICO"
"Trash. They went up on their rates and provide terrible service. I asked repeatedly for an in person damage assessment, I was denied repeatedly and lowballed on the offer. I know how to do my own body work and know what it would cost with a shop, I wanted to do my own repair since my last experience with a shop they offered only cut rate, oem parts that within a year were already rusting. The claims adjuster I was dealing with kept insisting I go to a body shop and that’s the only place he would look at the damage. I asked to receive a follow up which never happened."
"first this is not my first time having my car insurance with Geico. This particular time I had been with them for 2 years. Suddenly my rate to renew increased $1000. I have no tickets or accidents, my credit score is well over 800. I shopped around fount their rate was the highest of all the companies I search, as a result I chose not to renew my insurance and go with another company. I then get a bill from their collections dept. I called they said after your policy expires, they give a 2 week grace period in case you didn't renew in time so you wont show a lapse in coverage and the bill is for that 2 week period. I stated I did not ask for this, I was not informed of this, and this has never happened before with any ins co. including past experience with Geico. They said its there policy. When I asked where I could find this clause in my policy documents, they said its there somewhere. This was a lie I read the documents and nowhere does it explain this. I will also contact the insurance commission and BBB simply because they rubbed me the wrong way. I wont pay this bill anyway, my credit score wont be effected much but now they lost a customer for life and Ill keep spreading the experience with others when the opportunity arises! Who ever in the company decided this was a good policy, "to try to get what you can out of people" Totally changes the company's image, at least in my eyes!!"
