"Had a Jamaican Beef Patty and an Empanada de Queso. It took a little while to get my order but the woman behind the counter, I’m assuming the owner, gave me a free beverage knowing it took longer than it should have. Very nice presentation, I think the sauce drizzled on the plate was thousand island dressing and sprinkled with fresh cilantro. Beef patty had a nice flaky crust but I didn’t think the filling had a lot of flavor. Cheese Empanada was full of flavor. The crust had a little chew to it. That was not a bad thing, I enjoyed it very much."
"This place deserves more than 5 stars. Truly amazing food and service!! They made sure we were satisfied the whole time, very attentive and kind. This family owned business is a place you must stop at when in Reading. Go show them some love , can’t wait to go back !!"
"A family owned and family run restaurant, with all the welcoming hospitality and great food you would expect. We were all amazed with how good the food is. First, I followed a reviewer's suggestion and ordered the Ave Fries (pronounced AH-bay Fries). I couldn't find it on the menu but when I asked about it, the abuela working the counter smiled and said, "yes we have them, and they are very good!" She was right. It is hard to describe the flavors and blend of ingredients, let's just say you've never tried anything like them. Which were followed by chicken and steak empanadas. These were by far the best empanadas we've ever tasted. As with everything here, they were very fresh, and the creative recipe set them apart. We had our 12-year-old granddaughter with us, and she is a very typical picky eater. But she was very impressed -- if not downright amazed -- by how good her sesame chicken and yucca fries tasted. Ordinarily, she will not eat anything remotely spicy but in this case she polished them off. I ordered the Pernil (roasted pork) and it was tender, juicy and very flavorful -- and the side of rice was incredibly generous and delicious. My wife ordered the dumplings with sweet chili and sweet soy sauce and we all tasted them: again, excellent! We loved everything we ordered: it is a truly creative family run restaurant that starts with age old family recipes. Que Rico!! Nosotros volveremos! (Delicious! We will be back!)"
"A great spot to grab a delicious sandwich and empanadas!! The staff are very kind and tell you what items they like the most! The place is clean and the wait time for food was quick. I enjoyed visiting for a quick lunch date with my partner."
