Reviews of James A. Nelles Memorial Swimming Pool
"My kids have a blast every time we go here! We love this place!"
"What an awful pool. This pool was the best before the remodel and before children ran it. I can see why they had to make it smaller. There isn't 20,000 people living in Oil City anymore. Anyway, had a health issue within 45 minutes and all this teen employee could do was offer a rain check for the next day which is the last day of the season. Would have been fine if there was a month left. While I was catching my breathe in the slide section (see "X" in picture) I was told to get out so kids could go down the slide. There's no way anyone was gonna go that far after exiting the slide. So glad I got to experience the previous pool in the 80's. This thing is absolute garbage. Also, they allow swimmers to use flotation devices at 2 Mile Run Park. Parents, bring up this issue at a town hall meeting. I am done with this place."
"I love the city pool!! It’s always clean, well kept and most of all- safe!!! Life guards always in duty and keeping watch. Thankful for this location to do a family friendly summer activity !"
"Very nice place water temp is nice I do not agree with not allowing our children to not wear floatation devices I as a parent want my little ones especially being they are learning to swim to feel safe that is safety I expecially do not agree in the future area being that for little ones"
"There were 3 life guards at ALL times! There was a small slope gradual swim area for the kiddies and adults as well. I conquered my personal demons and went down a ladder at the 3'6" section. A great time was had by all! Highly recommend! Something for ALL ages and skill levels!"
