"This dentist is so arrogant!! He messed up our child's teeth and he was so sure, so cocky he knew everything! "Do not question him, do not talk to him." Some of his staff walk on egg shells as not to upset him, because "that's just what he does." The dentist who is fixing his mess was completely appalled at his work. If you care for your child just say NO to this guy."

"Can not describe how horrible dental experience I have experienced when I used to see Dr. Shapter! Very rude to me and others ! I don’t appreciate at all for a lot of times, SEVERAL occasions treated me with complete disrespect AND spoke to me with Condescending tone of voice ! I have personally experienced severe DENTAL anxiety/phobia and PTSD from horrid experiences from his office as a young child. Never again will ever recommend this office to anyone! Dentist was Very unprofessional and extreme arrogant! I have never want back to him! Several years ago I left the office for good! I wish I could rate to ZERO ! I have heard many NEGATIVE reviews ! Will never recommend this dentist to anyone!"

"This is the worst experience i ever had!!! Dr. Shapter's behavior was flat out disgusting towards me (the mother). He tried reprimanding me for not having my daughter to a dentist until she was 3 not knowing that she should of been going since she got her first tooth. Then as he was examining my daughter he was trying to direct her to put her teeth together which she was not understanding so i told her in a way she would understand and he quickly put his tools down and aggressively wheeled his chair towards me and said i told you to be quiet we have this handled. His behavior is not only disgusting but you can go as far as saying it is abusive!!! For his staff to excuse his behavior is just condoning his abusive behavior and it is just flat out disgusting!!! Until i find another dentist for my daughter she will absolutely NOT be left alone at any point during her future appointments with him or his staff! I would not recommend him but if you have no choice because of insurance reasons like my self i suggest you stay with you child during the appointments at all times because if the doctor and staff are abusive towards the parents like i experienced then i would assume he is the same with the children when they are left alone with them."

"HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I took my 4 year old son to see Dr. Shapter today and little did I know I was seeing a drill sergeant not a dentist. Before Dr.Shapter came to exam my sons teeth; the hygienist explained how I needed to let my son answer any questions and let him talk to Dr.Shapter and for me not to answer the questions he’s asking my son which was totally fine. Dr. Shapter approached my son and was very kind to him at first, my son is a huge talker so as he was examining his teeth he kept talking. Dr. Shapter asked him to stop talking 4 times and because my son wasn’t listening (to help Dr. Shapter) I kindly whispered to my son “you gotta be quiet buddy” Dr. Shapter stopped was here was doing turned around to look at me and said in the rudest tone “um excuse me? I think we have it under control! He has been listening to me so far, has he not? You need to sit there and be quiet. I know it’s hard for parents to let go and not have control but you need to let me” EXCUSE ME?!?!!! My jaw actually dropped. Telling me to be quiet like I’m a child and telling me I can’t talk to my son? I understand answering questions but saying I’m not allowed to speak to my son when all I was doing was trying to help? It’s natural for me to discipline my son if he isn’t listening. It was way too natural for Dr.Shapter to act the way he did. I left the office so upset. This was our first apt with him and we will NEVER be coming back. As soon as I got home I looked at the reviews because I needed to know if he has done this to anyone else and sure enough he has. Do not come here unless you want to be challenged by this idiot dentist who thinks he is in control of you and your children."

"I am not one to ever bash an office or say something negative about a facility but when a provider tells me, “you sit over there and be quiet, I am in charge of your child now!” Not to mention the hygienist shoving my sons past medical history form in my face because he had a new diagnosis that wasn’t on it. They never ask you to update it. Absolutely would not recommend"
