"They always have what I need for a fair prices and if they don't, they order it for me. Also, if I don't actually know what I need they're very helpful; every adjustment they have ever suggested after testing my pool water has worked."
"After 15+ years of dealing with Burnett Pools, I was recommended to B.Y. Pools by a co-worker for my new pool purchase. The purchase process was very easy and we were treated great by everyone at the store. Unfortunately, once they had my money the customer service came to a screeching halt. Upon purchase we were told that install would happen in 2-3 weeks (this is part of the reason I purchased from them, as everyone else was 6-8 weeks). After a month we finally got the call that the pool was in and the installer would be calling to schedule us. The installer called a couple days later and told us that he had spoken to the store and was told that they would be delivering the pool on a Saturday so he would be out the following Monday. Saturday came, and no pool. We called the store and were informed that their delivery driver called in sick that day. We explained that the installer had us on his schedule for Monday, and were told not to worry, the pool would be there in time. The pool was finally delivered Monday afternoon. By that time the installer had to reschedule us for Friday. Well, of course, we got rain on Friday (I understand that no one can control the weather) so we were rescheduled for Saturday. Saturday rolls around and we get a call from the installer explaining that a piece of his equipment broke down and he would have to push us back until Sunday. That Sunday was our daughters first birthday party. So now we had to deal with a pool being installed while trying to host a party for 30+ people. As you can imagine, this was a complete nightmare. Now let's skip forward in time by about 30 days to this past Sunday. While sitting outside having dinner Sunday night, we noticed that the pool pump had stopped running. After investigating, I realized that it had tripped the GFI breaker. I unplugged the pump and reset all breakers. When I plugged the pump back in, it made a loud whining noise and blew the breaker again. At this point, I realized that the motor had seized. Monday morning I gave the store a called and was informed that they would "see what they could do about getting a new motor out sometime this week". After going around and around with them, I was finally told that they were able to locate one in Pittsburgh and would be out Tuesday to make the switch. At this point, I was OK with everything. I received a phone call this morning to inform me that the new pump was in and the service tech would be on his way to install. I was then informed that "obviously there would be no cost for the motor replacement, but I would have to pay the tech for the service call". This is where I lost it. I have a pool that is not even 30 days old with a faulty piece of equipment, and they want me to pay their tech to replace it. I was told that "someone has to pay our tech", and when I expressed that it should be them, I was asked "would you like me to call our tech and tell him to come back to the store with your pump?". I have spent my entire career in the Customer Service industry, and never in my wildest dreams would I ever speak to a customer this way! I asked to speak to the owner and was informed that I could call back tomorrow afternoon to speak with the manager. I can promise that I will not be calling. When I arrive home tonight, I will also be pulling their "frog" system off of my pool so that I no longer have to visit them for chemicals and will be returning all of my business to Burnett Pools. I have realized that while other places may be more expensive, sometimes you really do get what you pay for. Please think twice before using this company for any of your pool or hot tub services. I hope that this review prevents someone else from going through an experience like I had."
"B.Y. pools were highly recommended to me for our new Spa needs. I went in knowing nothing. Left feeling pretty confident that I had correct products and know what to do to keep the water in the spa healthy. Alexis is wonderful!"
"The service when you're purchasing something is excellent. Once you've purchased something, I've had to call several times to get any answers. I called 6 times over a 3 week period the first time when my spa wasn't working, now when I want to GIVE THEM MORE MONEY, I've called three times, still to no avail."
