"I am truly very disappointed in Nationwide Insurance, I have been a customer for many years and my vehicles have always had good insurance coverage and for that reason I decided to put the 2 houses I own also with Nationwide. But unfortunately they only talk nice to sell the policies but when we need their help like insurance, they don't provide it. This year one of my properties was plagued by several problems, 2 of them more serious such as the flooding of the basement and the damage to the roof caused in a certain part by weather situations... electrical storms, endless rains, caused several trees to around my house they were silent, one of them pulled the electricity cables and I was left without electricity, this caused the pumps that take the dirty water outside to turn off and all that water went into the basement, damaging a good deal The entire structure was damaged in the basement and many personal items were lost such as beds, clothes, TV, the doors, everything was damaged... another tree that was damaged when a branch fell on the roof... and what is my surprise? I call my Nationwide to report those damages as claims to be covered by the policy I purchased with them; and they tell me we are going to send a manager, they send someone to ask questions and take photos.... and after a few days waiting for a positive response... they call me and say that the policy does not cover the damage caused to my house and They close the claim as if nothing has happened... Now I have to repair the roof on my own because I have to do it, since inside one of the rooms is getting damaged when it rains. It is very unpleasant to realize that one trusts the insurance companies so that these types of situations are resolved in the best way and to be able to live in peace.... now it turns out that I have paid for my insurance policies for nothing since I do not They respond when their help is needed. I do not plan to continue with Nationwide, I will withdraw my 2 properties and my vehicles because they no longer generate confidence in me. If you own your home and know how hard it has been to obtain it, be careful when purchasing insurance, I personally DO NOT RECOMMEND NATIONWIDE for that. Very very disappointed, upset and worried because the company that came to give me the estimate to repair the damaged roof area gave me a price of almost $6,000.00 and I would have to pay that because the insurance company that I trusted did NOT IT'S RESPONSIBLE.... Dissatisfied and disappointed customer."
"Terrible customer service. They want you to pay your bill but over charge on EVERYTHING!! If the company is giving customers any courtesy perks this agent would never tell you about it. You would have to hear it from the company 800 corporate office. They don't follow directions when you request things. The price is to high anyway and they dont have the customers best interest at heart. You would do better having a different insurance or call the corporate office for assistance."
