About Us
The Junker Center, located at 5103 Station Road in Erie, Pennsylvania, is a state-of-the-art gym and health facility. Opened in 2001, this $10.2 million athletics and recreation center offers a variety of amenities for both Behrend College students and the Erie community.
Spanning 72,800 square feet, the Junker Center features three all-purpose courts, a gymnasium with seating for 1,600 people, an eight-lane swimming pool, a weight room, a three-lane running track, jumping pits, an aerobics room, locker rooms, offices, and a wide range of exercise equipment.
In addition to providing recreational opportunities, the Junker Center also serves as a venue for major events such as commencement ceremonies, scholarship dinners, concerts, and musical productions. Named in honor of the Junker family for their generous support of Penn State and Behrend's athletics program, the center is a hub of activity and fitness for the community.

"First time coming to this facility. I had no idea where to find the gym so as soon as I was on campus I had to google the gym name. There’s parking on site with an overflow lot. The space was clean and large. Unfortunately, the bathrooms do not contain changing tables so traveling with littles made it a little difficult to find a place to do a diaper change. Very nice building!"
