COVID-19 Drive-thru Testing at Walgreens

"They need to update their website. I got there and try to get a COVID test, just like how Google and website say, they said October 1st has to be an appointment. Good and fine, but update your info. This is an inconvenience and people really need to know if they have it. Ridiculous!"

"@google @coronavirus.dc.gov this place does require appointments for covid testing; Google maps and DC website both say it does not. @Walgreens, No signs are posted, so you must wait in line to be told to make an appointment. There is also no phone number listed in Google to call for an appointment. Please update ASAP."

"EDIT: Despite what Google says, as of 10/1/20 this site now requires an appointment. They do not take anyone without an appointment, so schedule one on Walgreens’ website. I visited this testing site on 7/26 and had a very good experience. I did not need an appointment or a referral, and I'm not a DC resident. The testing site was supposed to open at 9am but they did not finish getting set up until 9:30am or so. However, by that point there were still only three of us in line, so the wait wasn't bad. Once they opened, the whole process took about 10 minutes. They give you the materials and instructions for performing your self-swab, and you stay in your car the whole time. They asked to see my ID and insurance card, but they assured me that the test is free for everyone. I got my test results (negative) two days later."

"This drive thru testing site is well run. You give them your name and address from an ID card then self administer a nasal swab, put the swab in a tube and give it back to them, all while in your car. You can then view your results on the LabCorp website patient login within 48hrs of the test. Don't call, just go. The phone number here is no good. Update 10/24 - my husband went to get tested here a couple weeks ago and it appears now you need to make an appointment first before arriving."

"The phone number seems to be incorrect or is some sort of scam but the testing facility is there. The process is painless, quick and with minimal risk of exposure. I was able to get tested in about 30-45 minutes (there was a line of cars ahead of mine) and I got my results through the LabCorp app 48 hours later. They also called me to inform me of the test results."
