"Hemlock Trail was the perfect magical winter hike for New Year's Day. Beautiful snow on trees. State park employee stopped to see if all was okay. Good to know they are patrolling. (Restroom was open and warm!)"
"Nice lake with a trail along side it. October is a nice time due to the changing leaves. Jones mills fall is a nice hike so do it early before dark."
"I've read good things about Laurel Hill State Park and I was not disappointed. Enjoyed the hiking trails, the abundant trees and the scenery. It will make a good trip in the Autumn with the changing of the leaves. There is a camping area though I didn't check it out. There is also a good sized beach at the 63 acre lake. Electric motors only. People enjoying kayaking and paddle boating. Lots of places to picnic. Great day at this park nestled in the hills of Somerset County. Make sure to check out Jones Mill Run Dam. As with other state parks you can find maps and information at the park offices. I will return to check out more features and visit other parks that cover this area."
"This is one of my favorite PA State Parks. 15 miles of hiking trails from easy to difficult. Nice beach. Beautiful campground."
"Last minute trip on Memorial Day weekend and we were lucky enough to get a spot at the campground. Very quiet and serene campground. Fairly clean but basic bathroom/shower rooms. The sites were a little close but adequate. The beach was amazing. Long, very clean and well marked with access to volleyball, kayak launch, swimming and fishing. Many great spots to have a picnic for 2 or a picnic for 50. The hiking trails were nice and easily manageable for novice hikers. But many off trails for the more experienced. The Jones Mill Run trail and waterfall was awesome. The pups had the time of their life!"
