"I am very happy with Mr. Schaller and the commercial team, Alana! There are insurance sales people that you will talk to them when they want to sale you the insurance and once sold and get the money, and you will never see them again! We are a very fast growing company and had a small claim recently. Called this company who sold me the insurance to get advise who to file the claim and what are the steps. Mr. Schaller himself came to our building and they reported the claim for us. (Yes, we are very busy) Every time we called them to ask any question regarding our claims even tho Selective was our insurance company but Mr. Schaller was very open and answered all questions and was willing to help if needed. "Never have I received poorer customer service or such blatant refusal from a company to take responsibility for their errors!!!! My original agent at Schoenfeld happened to leave, and soon after Chubb hiked up my premium 54%. No one from Schoenfeld ever reached out to me, nor did I ever receive a copy of the inspection justifying a 54% increase in premium until Gail, one of the agent's there, e-mailed me to say my policy would be cancelled. Furthermore, my premium was increased unjustly, and after fighting about this for over 3 months (with me checking in with Schoenfeld every week to follow up), and showing evidence that they inflated the square footage of my house, among other discrepancies, Chubb finally reduced the premium. Gail was the agent that e-mailed me, and when I called her in shock, she was unbelievably rude and agressive over the phone. Although the owner, Rick, did apologize for her abysmal customer service, that's where it stopped. Chubb did reduce my owed premium by $189. However, they cancelled my policy 4 months early as they had used ALL the money that was in my home owners insurance escrow. This amount was supposed to last me a year based on the estimate that THEY provided. Had the premium gone up 10 or ever 20% after inspection, and they had notified me appropriately and provided the inspection report, I would not have had a problem. However, 54% is absurd, and my insurance coverage was already on the high end compared with several neighbors I checked with (the footprints of all our houses are exactly the same). The final straw was the balance of my "owed" premium: a meager $16. I requested that Schoenfeld pay this after all their screw ups in dealing with my case, not to mention drawing it out over such an extended period of time. One of the agents, Greg, did his best to be responsive and also spoke to his management about waiving the remaining $16. However, his management declined. In the end, I paid the $16 and switched insurance companies and agents. I am paying considerably less than even the original amount that Schoenfeld quoted, and I went through the policy line by line to make sure that my coverage is at least as much as I was getting before, if not more in certain areas. I am pretty meticulous when choosing services for cost, quality and customer service. I do a great deal of research and put tremendous time and energy into sorting through the minutiae. I hate to be a naysayer. Nonetheless, I hope this review will assist others in not having to go through what I went through with this terrible agency!"
