"Be ready to wait over an hour just for them to refuse to give you your prescription. Staff is unprofessional and lazy. Minute clinic prescribed me the wrong dosages and won’t let me switch it. They kept claiming my insurance wouldn’t cover the prescription and that I didn’t have the coverage. Picked up my other prescriptions just fine with insurance at Giant. NEVER GO TO THIS CVS YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR PRESCRIPTION."
"I have been a customer of many CVS stores, and the Crofton CVS on Davidsonville Road is hands down the WORST one at which I’ve ever had the misfortune to spend money. That's saying something as CVS is basically McPharmacy anyway. The only surprise about the Crofton store's 1.7 star Google rating is that it's that high. My most recent AWFUL experience, when I was in horrific pain, really took the cake and has convinced me to cancel my CarePass and go with another pharmacy. The only reason I was shopping at CVS and keeping its "CarePass," for which I was paying a monthly fee, is for the prescription delivery option. Due to my TERRIBLE tooth pain, two of my doctor's offices called in prescriptions for a total of six medications. One doctor's office called into the Crofton CVS. I called the Crofton CVS to see when it would be ready and was told within an hour. After checking the app for two agonizing hours with no updates, I called back and was told that they didn't have the prescription. I told them that I had spoken with an associate previously who assured me that she had the prescription, and they were then able to find it and even gave me my doctor's name, which I had not mentioned. I called several more times that day and other associates told me they didn't have the prescription only to find it after I asked them to double check. Ultimately, the prescription was NEVER filled, and when my fiancé went to pick up my prescriptions they again told him that they hadn't received it. Complete incompetence. Without my authorization and likely due to an error, the other doctor’s office chose a CVS in Hyattsville, Maryland at 3605 East-West Highway (2.4 star Google rating, and again that's too high) to fill my prescription (yes, the doctor’s office has its own competency issues). I’ve never been to the Hyattsville CVS and do not live near it, I listed the Crofton CVS as my pharmacy. After waiting hours in pain with no updates on the CVS app, calling my doctor’s office, and figuring out what happened, my doctor’s office said they had corrected the error and that the prescription would be filled at my chosen CVS. I called the Crofton CVS to make sure, and they said everything was fine and it would be ready within an hour. After waiting even more time, still in terrible pain, and receiving no updates on my prescriptions through the app, I called the Crofton CVS and they said the prescription for the pain medication still hadn’t been released from the Hyattsville CVS and that I would need to call them to secure the release. So, everything was NOT fine. I called the Hyattsville store, and even though I was polite despite being in horrible pain, the Hyattsville employee was completely unprofessional, very rude, and hung up on me. I’ve worked in customer service so I make it a point to be courteous, keeping my voice low and saying please and thank you. At least it seems she managed to release the prescription properly, much to my shock given everything I had been through to that point. I called the Crofton CVS to ensure that there would be no further problems filling my prescriptions. They said they would not be fully completed until after 7 p.m., and that no pain medication was ready yet. I had been attempting to receive my pain medication since 8:30 a.m. that morning and had been in the worst pain I’ve had since my kidney stone. They also told me that they would have the prescription from the other doctor's office, but of course they claimed they never received it when my fiancé went to pick them up. In addition, I had originally wanted them delivered (again, the only reason I dealt with CVS and paid for their "CarePass"). When I mentioned this to the associate, she said that CVS had created two profiles for me for some reason and that the prescriptions had been filled under one that is not associated with my "CarePass," so I would need to come to the store to get my medications. That's it--no apology even though she admitted that it was a CVS error, just "you'll have to pick them up." All in all, an ATROCIOUS experience!"
"Sat in drive through with the gentleman who was eventually running it, while they talked to each other for 8 min within sight of me sitting here. He eventually came over and asked me to wait, another 5 min. He was nice and helpful once he came. But we both know what happened and it was horrible service, not sure if they were understaffed."
"So unreliable. 4 out of the past 5 times I attempted to pickup an Rx, the pharmacy was closed HOURS before their posted/normal closing time. Today, the inside is closed and you can only use the drive-thru, it'll be interesting to see if they stay open long enough to serve everyone. Worst of all, you as a customer won't know any of this until you go inside and read the sign posted where the Pharmacy register would be (but because it's closed, you know something is odd because of the white mesh security wall that's closed). 1 star, the techs inside who probably have no say in all of this and are affected too is the only reason for the extra star."
"The staff is nice, but expect to spend 30+ minutes picking up your prescription. Doesn't matter if you go inside or through the drive-through. This place is super slow, but is better than the Walgreens down the street since they actually have staff and don't randomly close. Edited: This place is worse than Walgreens. Going to be getting my prescriptions from a different CVS because this place is filled with unprofessional staff, Pharmacists included. If only I could give zero stars"
