"Very clean/hygenic pool, first impression was great :)"
"Extremely rude coordinator. Lady not only rude with parents but the smaller kids. Worst experience. Scary experience with kid. Not only the lady on desk was rude. The instructor sitting outside the pool so rude to my small girl. No welcome told her jump in water when ready .. no help. Our kid is mad at us to put in bad experience. I tried calling the phone to told them. Not picking the phone. Worst management ever I saw."
"The Peddie School has a very long history of excellence within all of the Peddie swim programs. This includes The Peddie Swim Team and The Peddie Swim School. We also offer Open Swim, Family Swim and Water Fitness classes in our state of the art aquatic facility that was fully renovated in 2018. Peddie Swim School takes teaching children and adults how to swim very seriously. It is a life saving skill. The most important mission of Peddie Swim School is for all of our students to become water safe and to strengthen those skills through lessons and practice. We offer a Family Swim Program so our students can practice what is taught in lessons to aid in advancing through our program. We realize that children learn in different ways, at different paces and also according to his or her own ability. Because of this each student in our lesson program is evaluated after each swim lesson session to personalize his or her progress. All of our instructors have been trained with the American Red Cross model for water safety instruction. There is always a supervisor on deck to make sure that lessons are being performed to our high set of standards. Of course parents will have questions and we want to ensure that all questions are answered personally and immediately. Parents can come in and talk to the supervisor at any time during a lesson. We are also available by phone and email seven days a week. We also make it part of our lesson policies that a parent or an adult is present for each and every lesson. One of the reasons we require this is to make sure that the parent or adult in charge of every child is fully aware of how each and every lesson is going. This makes feedback and communication for each of our lesson students much more efficient. During Covid we have put a great deal of time and effort into our safety protocols for all of our swimmers and employees. We take extra steps to make sure that everyone who comes to our facility to swim and work does so comfortably and without worry. At Peddie Swim School we strive for perfection. We realize that the idea of perfection is a constant evolution of learning and listening to all of our lesson families that have chosen us for their swim lesson needs. We very much appreciate the trust and dedication that our lesson families bring to us. We never take that for granted or stop trying to make The Peddie Swim School lesson program the best that it can be. That happens through continuing education outside of our facility for staff, ongoing training within our facility for staff and very importantly by carefully listening to the hundreds of students and families that attend our lesson sessions throughout the year. Thousands of children and adults have learned how to swim at Peddie and we are hoping to help thousands more to become water safe and to fully achieve his or her swimming goals for today and the future."
"BEWARE OF CORINNA SIMMS, who is the swim lessons coordinator at this center! Extremely lousy at her job. So lousy indeed that it completely trashes any $$$ investment made at this center. She gave too much of a headache to me, a close family friend of mine as well as a few families that I witnessed at this center. If you are signing up your kids at this center, she will be your swim lessons coordinator. Pls be forewarned! For the fee that this center charges, you will receive hands down the worst swim lessons coordinator you would have ever come across. You can’t cancel and they won’t give any make up sessions either. I had registered two series of level-1 swim lessons for my 6-yr old. When I showed up on the first day of her lessons, Corinna said she is unable to find my daughter in the system and can’t have her take the class. I then showed her the confirmation email from the center, credit card payment (fully paid in advance). She then started cribbing about her internal systems and subcontractors (which as a customer should not be my problem). She then said she will refund the money - but then by that time, I already lost swim lesson slots elsewhere. Finally after having too many back and forth discussions (which I hated engaging in, after paying the entire fees in full with zero-cancellation) and giving us needless headaches, she finally figured out that she is the one at fault and readjusted their system. My kid was able to take the first series of classes. Later, once again, at the start of my kid’s second series of lessons…..the exact same drama above repeated. She once again claimed that she is unable to find my kid in their system. Once again I showed her all confirmation emails and payment invoices (which she already had by the way from the first interaction above). Forget the ability to sort things out - she was not even treating the problem with an urgency. And this is all her internal issues - nothing for customers like me to have to deal with. She said she will figure out what’s wrong early following week. This time we wanted to speak to her director - she simply said she can’t let us talk to anyone and avoided sharing the contact number of her director. Again, she wanted to simply refund the money - but swim lessons are not easy to get anywhere, they get booked up fast and because of Corinna Simms’ lousy work, we ended up losing timely slots at other centers as we signed up at this center first. What’s the point of her simply refunding at this point? So saying this in public interest - please save your money and go elsewhere for swim lessons. This one lousy worker - Corinna Simms - being here as the lessons coordinator, completely overrules any good coaches that you may get here. It really can’t be worse than this. Remember that they don’t allow you to cancel….so you will have to pay in full, with zero cancellation and yet deal with this worst ever swim lessons coordinator."
