"Love their cakes. We come here for every birthday now. We have 7 people in our family and luckily the birthdays are spread out. But we get the strawberry Smith island cake and it is amazing. We did the pumpkin spice cake in September and I loved it. In my opinion I like it alot better then the strawberry cake."

"I don't know what happened to my 3 Smith Island Cakes, but the 2 chocolate layer cakes were very, very dry and appeared to only have 1 table or 2 table spoons of icing if that! per layer, making it even more dry. The 3rd cake red velvet was better, but nothing like previous Smith Island Cake experiences. Won't go back. Buyer beware the cupcakes were very good & didn't cost $35ea sometimes paying more isn't better & their Smith Island cakes are a good example of pure disappointment"

"We were totally bummed that both of our Smith Island cakes did not include all 9 layers! We ordered the Mandarin Orange which only had 5 layers and the Strawberry which only had 6 layers. After reaching out to the shop, their response was that Smith Island cakes vary from 5-9 layers, however this is not stated anywhere on their website, and was also not communicated to us at the time we purchased over the phone. In my opinion these are not true Smith Island cakes and we were very disappointed :("
