Reviews of Walmart Pharmacy
"I began filling my prescriptions at Walmart in Carroll Island after moving to the area thinking they’d be more convenient. It was a really awful decision."
"Terrible experience. Several days without medication and this isn’t the first time. They truly do not understand taking medication is not voluntary. We will switch to another pharmacy. If your family or a family member has a medical issue, and you value their health, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PHARMACY!!"
"Let me by prefacing this with I don't know the male pharmacist at all, like personally. I only know him when he's working at WalMart when I happen to be there. My point is, he's not very forthcoming with letting the patient know why an error may be occuring with a particular medication. Like, if the prescription gets kicked back and it just can't be filled, you'll just walk up to the counter, not get that particular prescription and the most explanation you'll get is "you can't get it today" or "it's too soon" without any further explanation even if there are extenuating circumstances, like my situation was. Anyway, I had to go back the next day to get my COVID-19 vaccine shot and the pharmacist who administered it was absolutely calming, nice, polite, chatty, etc. She would explain every single step of the way of what was going on and if you had any questions, etc, anything like that. Since she was such a nice person, I thought I'd ask her opinion on what happened to me the day prior with my medication because I started seeing a new doctor and he prescribed two medications (one controlled, one not) and he wanted me to take them for two weeks and then come back and let him know how it was working. Problem was, I couldn't get the prescription filled, so I couldn't follow the doctors orders. She explained to me that because I was seeing a different doctor and she prescribed a similar medication and that it was sent to a different pharmacy, the computers are very finicky about that type of stuff. She said she would put in all the documentation explaining my situation and also call my insurance to see what she could do. Low and behold, later that night, she calls me and tells me she was successful and my medication was filled. So I was able to get both prescriptions picked up and start taking them as the doctor prescribed. Everything that day worked out for the absolute best and if you knew me, that doesn't usually happen. So I just wanted to thank that particular pharmacist. Trudy."
"I had a partial prescription filled on a Thursday. They gave me enough to last until Monday which is when they were supposed to have the remaining amount of my prescription filled. Monday came and they did not have it. I have been getting this prescription for over 6 years and I have never had an issue at any other Pharmacy that I have been too. This is a prescription where my life really depends on this medication. I certainly will never take my prescription back to Walmart. And I also would not recommend anyone who has very important medications to be taken to Walmart."
"I absolutely can not stand this pharmacy!! First off they aren't friendly at all, never have been. Second off i go there every month for my meds (only because of the convenience) They are sometimes out of my meds, which i get every month!! Lastly i have been short on my medications twice the past 2 months!! Yes short by 10 pills, I call them, they watch the tape, return my phone call to say oh the tech made a mistake, she thought it was 20 not 30!! I get 30 a month every month!! How do you make such a horrible mistake when i know the tech counts it then the pharmacist is supposed to recount it before it is bagged.. This place is an absolute joke!!"
