"Honestly, I was really excited to start using this pharmacy. It is local, and I like utilizing local businesses. I thought that would mean better customer service and attentiveness. The first medication I needed was messed up between them and CVS, and they were very kind and helpful and Expedient. It made a good first impression. So I figured I’d continue to use them. Unfortunately, I’ve had several bad experiences since. I figured hey maybe these were one offs, but they are at this point representing a pattern. I’ve experienced several unkind, impatient phone calls. Where pharmacists are asking me pharmaceutical questions that I clearly would not know the answer to. Being hung up on the phone and feeling like I was an annoyance to even ask. And then not receiving calls when prescriptions were ready. I used to call to see if they were ready, but due to the unpleasant calls I preferred to wait. Twice now I had not received any call for ready prescriptions. The first time I thought maybe it’s a minor error. The second now, it frustrated me. I expressed this frustration in a respectful manner to the counter worker, and I was brushed off. Said that it looks like a spam number, I might have missed it. Ok well I didn’t even get a voicemail. She said well it’s an automated system I can’t do anything about it. I’ve worked in many customer service jobs, and even if the error is the fault of the system, it’s important to make the customer feel seen and heard. This isn’t over something silly, these are over very important prescriptions that keep me from experiencing excruciating pain. This unfortunately pushes me back to using large chain pharmacies. I’m sad it turned out to be this way."

"Best and only reason I gave them 3 stars is the proximity to my home.it’s close. Don’t ever feel frustrated by lack of communication. Someone said they remember you , they sure do. I used to feel comfortable in pharmacies prior to this one. It’s a prep to go there"

"Walking into Catonsville Pharmacy is like what you think a neighborhood pharmacy would be like- welcoming, caring and like family. You aren't just a number or the next person in line with them. They get to know you and you can ask them anything- unlike the large chains where you can never actually talk to the pharmacist. If you are within a 20-30 minute drive- use them. You won't regret it."
