"I sought out Dr. Enrique A. Matabar's dental practice and scheduled an initial appointment for Thursday, October 12th. Due to work obligations, I promptly called back the next day to reschedule for Friday, October 13th (weeks in advance). The receptionist assured me of the date change, so I thought everything was in order. Upon arriving at the practice after navigating across town and securing parking, I was greeted with a note informing patients that the office was closed for training. To add to the confusion, their voicemail indicated closures for both Thursday and Friday. Both of the days the scheduled and confirmed me for during previous calls. What left me truly frustrated was the complete absence of any heads-up or courtesy call regarding this closure. Consequently, I lost precious time due to this oversight. While I understand that continuous training is essential for healthcare professionals, some scheduling forethought and effective communication for scheduled patients is equally paramount. I'm left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed by the administrative aspect of Dr. Matabar's practice."
"Dr. Matabar put in a crown for me after I had issues with a previous crown made elsewhere. I brought my husband to him because I thought he could help him. My husband needed dentures because he was unable to chew food. Dr. Matabar made his dentures. I had to bring my husband back 2 or 3 times to make adjustments. The dentures he made are not wearable at all and hurt my husbands gums really bad even after the adjustments. As for the crown he made for me, it is not sealed properly and I have big gap there. I found out after I had X-rays elsewhere. That dentist asked me who put the crown in because it was not sealed properly and showed me gap in the X-Ray pictures. We are seniors and the money we paid with Dr. Matabar was money down the drain. So disappointed, we will not be back."
"Staff very pleasant. I been going to Dr. Matabar over ten years and I am please with the work he has done. All his patients get his full attention and he never rush from one to the other. I am very please and won't go anywhere else."
"Very professional staff and Dr Matabar is awesome‼️ Highly recommended. I had several appointments during COVID-19 and felt that safety measures were in place. Due to social distancing, I was asked to check in and remain in my car and I would be called. Thank you for keeping the clients safe and following the guidelines."
"I have had a very unpleasant experience with this office - I had been going to them for a a few years until recently. What made me stop going was that I had a cleaning where I was told that I had 5 cavities as well. I got them filled conveniently just before leaving for school in the fall, and they had partially fallen out a week later. When I visited my local dentist in a different state, they were shocked saying that the fillings were done incorrectly and was just some kind of paste/mold that did not effectively take care of the cavity. They also told me that I had several other cavities that as well. Unfortunate for me, but why was this undetected during my cleaning/scanning?? This same dentist was the reason for why my sister needed a route canal, because it stemmed from issues she had but also lack of care from her previous visit. No good. However, the staff is kind -the dentist just doesn't know what he's doing!"
