Reviews of TotallySmiles Dental Group
"Very bad experience. After getting a crown, for six weeks I went back three times because I kept having pain. They kept telling me it could take months, even a year, for the pain to stop! The third time I went back, they sent me to an endodontist (Dr. Jason Fields) who was terrible -- he dismissed my pain as being caused by me! He said I was grinding my teeth. He told me to get a night guard and use it for at least 3 months. He was in the room for all of five minutes. An easy consult fee from my insurance company. I'd already been taking Advil for daily for six weeks. I'd had crowns before and have never had such pain. This made no sense to me, so I finally went to a different dentist, who sent me to a different endodontist. This new endodontist did a root canal, and saw that the pain was caused by the nerves being so inflamed, part of the nerves died and had gotten infected. He saw all the xrays and photos that were done prior to the crown, and he said based on what he saw, he would have done the root canal first. I'm glad I made the decision NOT to listen to Steven or Corey Anolik and wait months, and NOT to listen to Jason Fields and wait months. I'm glad I made the decision to get a different dentist for a second opinion. The bottomline is that I got sub-par care from Steven and Corey Anolik. I regret the day I walked in there -- which was just for a cleaning - and I regret having agreed to getting the crown in the first. place. Also, they have an inhouse machine to make Cerec crowns. I would advise anyone to NOT get a Cerec crown because these rely on the dentist's skill. I've only ever had lab-made porcelain crowns, and have never had an issue with fit. This Cerec crown that Dr. Steven Corey made has been ill-fitting from the start. It feels bulky on the side of the cheek, and I am constantly biting my check. Plus, the new dentist did a bite adjustment because it was hitting the teeth above it too hard. (and this is after Dr. Corey did the bite adjustment). After this root canal is totally done, I'm going to ask the new dentist if they can do a traditional crown."
"Great first experience! The hygeinist, Svelty, could have told me she was the dentist and I would have believed her- she was so knowledgeable/informative! I met Dr. Corey at the end- smart with a great sense of humor…just what you want when you’re nervous at the dentist!"
"Outstanding Dental Group, everyone is friendly, helpful, trust worthy just everyone is beautiful people. I wouldn't go anywhere else! The atmosphere is really high and warm. I would tell everyone and all my family and friends, if they need a dentist I would send them to Totally Smiles. There's never any doubt in my mind, they will always come back like myself! Please be always safe and blessed. Brenda Frazier."
"While I doubt anyone likes to go to the dentist, TotallySmiles Dental Group makes the visit as comfortable as possible. The entire staff (from administrative to professional) are , always so pleasant and efficient. And while I have been to other practices that insist on payments during every visit (pending insurance adjustments), this group is more than happy to await insurance proceeds before billing you. Can't ask for more."
