Reviews of Reconstructed State House of Historic St. Mary's City
"There are so many replica and reconstructed buildings and archaeological digs. This recreation not only of the State House from when the English immigrated with but these grounds and cemetery along the Potomac River tied the first capital of Maryland together. This allow me to feel the total atmosphere of what the early English colonist felt. A little peaceful village with our incredible American history. This experience helped to know & better understand that time period. Carefully and tastefully done. The arduous research and reconstruction is appreciated. My anticipated image of this area had to be what the Maryland and Chesapeake Bay colonist experienced also."
"We got married at the St. Mary's City Statehouse and could not have had a better wedding. The staff were so attentive, responsive, and professional. The venue is absolutely stunning and Mary and Porzia make sure your day goes smoothly by paying attention to every little detail. We never had to worry about anything because Mary and Porzia were on top of it."
"An amazing House, full of History. Love it."
"I was here for a class feild trip 2013. Fells like your 1676. 2017"
"If you are fan of the History Channel then this is the place for you. Pretty cool to see where Maryland got its start."
