Reviews of EVO Entertainment Fredericksburg (Formerly Paragon Theaters)
"My sister was visiting from Leesburg for the holidays, and we went with my parents who rarely go to the moves, to go see Aquaman 2. It was a Tuesday so $5 movie day but we wanted to sit upstairs and enjoy some snacks and cocktails. She purchased the tickets online which totaled over $75 with an outrageous online processing fee. As soon as we got there the theater was CHAOS.. understandably so given the day. As we got upstairs we realized the bar was closed. The attendants upstairs apologized and said we can still use the QR code to order stuff. I already knew this was going to take forever since my last experience was very similar. We sat down and immediately ordered. When the order wasn't accepted after 20-25 minutes we went down to the bar at the bowling alley to see what was going on. The bartender was really nice and apologized saying he didn't even get a ticket for our order yet and made us the drinks we ordered without question. So we had to miss part of the movie to service our own drinks... it was between 45-55 minutes after the initial order that we finally got our "first round"... the poor attendants were super young and didn't even know where a manager was to help us when we wanted to make someone aware of the situation. You could tell they were so defeated. It wasn't their fault so we thanked them and appreciated their apology. We over heard this same situation for several others in our theater and people standing outside waiting for someone to help them from other movies. It was really frustrating to pay that much money to enjoy the perk of the upstairs when there was really no purpose of selling those tickets without being properly staffed. This was not the first time this has happened and I'm sure it wont be the last which is super disappointing because this place use to be so awesome! Needless to say.. don't waste your money on sitting upstairs. The service just isn't there anymore."
"Title: "A Disappointing Experience at Paragon Theaters" My recent visit to Paragon was, unfortunately, far from the pleasant evening I had anticipated. Upon entering, the ambiance was immediately off-putting. The air was stale, and the dim lighting did little to conceal the disarray. The most jarring part of the experience was the interaction with the staff. The person at the counter, seemingly under a lot of stress, muttered under her breath, expressing a clear disdain for not just her coworkers but people in general. This lack of professionalism was startling and set a negative tone for the evening. The theater itself was in a state of neglect. Seats were uncomfortable, and I was disheartened to find remnants of previous showings - popcorn kernels and sticky residues - on my seat and the floor. This lack of cleanliness was not only unappealing but also raised concerns about the overall hygiene standards of the venue. While I understand that managing a movie theater can be challenging, the basic tenets of customer service and cleanliness should never be compromised. Paragon, unfortunately, failed to meet even these fundamental expectations, leading to a rather disappointing movie-going experience. I will not be returning."
"The theater wasn't crowded, but the movie we paid to see got switched to another screen/theater. We finally realized what had happened and notified the management and it was promptly resolved. Theater was clean, seats were recliners and comfy and the surrounding sound was excellent."
"Clean movie theater. It does show signs of wear and tear on the seats. It is better to buy the tickets online. The wait can be long to buy tickets at a certain time"
"This place is really nice. There are 12 theaters. However, I will say the inside of the theater we were in was underwhelming compared to the rest of the building. The bartender near the bowling alley was super nice and attentive. My one complaint is that it says they have pool tables, but we were told the upstairs was closed so that was disappointing."
