Reviews of Walmart Pharmacy
"The pharmacy is regularly getting my prescriptions all mixed up. Always having to call the Dr. or the insurance company, then back to the pharmacy after I have tried to straighten the mixup out."
"This is my GO TO pharmacy. I have seen tremendous improvements over the last couple years. The staff is wonderful, their service time is much better (meaning shorter lines) and even if they don't have my prescription I get a text alert so I am always in the loop on what is happening. My only suggestion would be not to just text me when they need to be refilled, but to text me when they are going to expire (since I don't always check the bottles)."
"Mid February I was in an oil fire and got 2nd degree burns my head, face, arms legs and feet. I went to walmart pharmacy to pick up my medicine and I explained to the lady at the register what happened. She was nice. However an older pharmacist (I assume) was working there and laughed and asked why I didn't cover the fire or throw flour on it. Sorry, lady, with my house about to catch on fire I didn't have time to go looking for those and did what I could with what I had. You weren't there with the fire alarms going off and a 3 foot fire raging about to catch the house in flames. I was standing there with my face swollen and black and everyone staring at me and this lady did not help my experience. Not recommended. Do better Walmart."
"The pharmacist and workers have always been very kind. They've helped me to sort things out when there's an issue with a prescription, and they've called to warn me about dangerous drug interactions when doctors have called the meds in erroneously. They always do their best to take care of prescriptions quickly and accurately. I've been using them for years and I've never once had a problem. They've even improved since they were able to hire more pharmacy workers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a pharmacy."
"We were in a horrific accident on RT 81 on Sunday, Dec. 28th. Our car was totaled and our entire family was treated and released at the Winchester Medical Center Emergency Room. We were sent out with prescriptions only because the Medical Center Pharmacy was closed for holiday hours. The hospital put us up in the Courtyard Marriott for the night and we walked to Walmart to fill our prescriptions. My husband had a compression fracture to his spine, my children were back at the hotel with a broken nose, a dislocated shoulder, staples in both of their heads and sutures on their faces. I had been taken into the trauma unit from passing out, so my clothes were cut off, and I was wearing the clothes that they had given me. (A Holister t-shirt and scrub pants that were at least 10 inches too long for me.) We arrived at the pharmacy at 5:40, and the woman who received us told us that they couldn't possibly fill our prescriptions in the 20 minutes before closing. I showed her my medical bracelets, but I think she saw my clothing and assumed we were homeless, or looking for drugs. (Two prescriptions were narcotics for pain, two were for antibiotics.) She clearly had no empathy for anyone or anything. She was more concerned about the clock than she was about our comfort. I can't believe that anyone in health care would ever treat anyone like that ever. What a waste of air space. I hope that she reads this. I hope that she's in that situation someday herself. Meredith Garrison"
