"Dr. Ford referred my husband to a Periodontist. The day before the Periodontist visit, my husband saw Dr. Ford in a routine check up in which x-rays were done. At the Periodontist visit, the doctor said that my husband's gums were fine and that the reason that they were slightly swollen was due to a side effect of a prescribed medication that my husband was taking. Shouldn't Dr. Ford have known this as he has a list of my husband's medications? But, the Periodontist was more concerned about a cavity that my husband had. Given the fact that my husband saw Dr. Ford the previous day in which x-rays were taken, shouldn't the cavity have been addressed by Dr. Ford? (My husband never experienced any pain with this tooth.) The Periodontist sent Dr. Ford a letter regarding my husband's tooth and Dr. Ford's office did call requesting my husband to schedule an appointment. My husband decided to see another dentist and prior to that visit, he contacted Dr. Ford's office requesting that his x-rays be sent to the new dentist. Dr. Ford's office sent the wrong x-rays. After the new dentist took x-rays she told my husband that the tooth was far too gone for a filling and that a root canal was needed. The new dentist even said that a root canal may not even resolve the issue and that surgery may be needed. My husband was referred to an Endodontic practice and they were able to perform the root canal, but my husband was told that the tooth was very close to requiring surgery. My husband routinely saw Dr. Ford every six months after our other dentist retired in 2017, so why did Dr. Ford not see or even address the severity of the tooth problem along with knowing that a medication caused my husband's gums to slightly swell? Thank goodness that the Periodontist saw this cavity. Needless to say, my family is switching to the new dentist. If you are considering Dr. Ford, I hope that this review helps in your decision."
