"I have had continuous problems with Aspen Dental, Hanover. Last year, I went to them for a root canal and a crown due to my insurance. I live an hour away, but wanted to go to a provider that would accept my insurance directly. When I returned to my home dentist for a cleaning, he immediately expressed concern that the crown had not been done well. It left a large margin where the tooth was vulnerable to decay. After multiple attempted phone calls to Aspen Dental, I was able to reach a representative and schedule an appointment. They were willing to fix their mistake, which required a total of 3 additional appointments. I was treated and a temporary crown was given- at an appointment that took much longer than expected because they struggled to remove the crown, causing pain and a massive ulcer. I then scheduled an appointment for a week and a half later, on 1/29, to have the permanent crown put in. I arrived for my appointment, and after waiting a receptionist finally notified me that the permanent crown had not come in and they could not complete my scheduled procedure. She offered to “do my cleaning, since I was there,” which I have never done through Aspen. I expressed my frustration that I was not notified that my crown had not come in, and I had driven an hour and taken additional time off work for them to fix their mistake. The receptionist gave me a pouty face and asked if I’d like someone to call me when it’s in. I confirmed that that would make the most sense. I called in late in the day on Tuesday to see if the crown had arrived and was able to speak to someone, who said they would check and call me back. No one ever did. I then called on Wednesday or Thursday and left a voicemail, and called again on Friday, leaving an additional voicemail, and have left another voicemail this morning asking to speak to an office manager. I have now had a temporary crown in for about two and a half weeks, and I am experiencing pain in the area but have not received any return correspondence or phone call from this facility. Few experiences with dental work are pleasant, but this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a provider."

They said it was because they usually charge a deductible on most plans, but they didn't notice my plan was different than most. They no longer take or return any calls or messages of mine, even after corporate sent a direct message to the office manager to contact me."

"I had some trouble finding a dental office that accepted my insurance and also would be able to get me in on short notice. After reading some of the previous reviews of the Hanover location, I was a bit apprehensive, but that changed once my appointment started. It is a bit different initially not being a small private practice, but I will say the staff was friendly and welcoming. The agent, dental assistant, dentist, and hygienist were excellent. Prices also seemed to be very reasonable with insurance. Thanks for helping me out and I plan on returning for additional care."
