"I have been to adult church retreats, family reunions, wedding receptions, served week-long sailing camps, and later hosted a bridal shower at West River Center. Throughout that time, they've built a gorgeous new dining hall, completely renovated several cabins, and replaced several staff who retired. The property itself is a stunning location. It is on a small peninsula and attracts diverse plants as well as land, air, and marine wildlife. There are incredible cloudscapes, sunrises, and sunsets on this estuarine edge of land, and it boasts wooded trails, open fields, and marshland. Thanks to the grounds staff, it's well-maintained with clear walkways and accessibility for all kinds of guests and campers, including a wooden boardwalk through the riverside marsh trail. There are several gathering and dining spaces, two docks, low and high ropes courses, and multiple campfire locations to reserve for good conversation, reflection, and team building activities. The leadership at West River have always been good stewards of the camp and retreat buildings, improving and updating as needed. The experienced staff and thoughtful programming make hosting here a delight and being hosted here feel like a true vacation I don't need more rest from when I get home! There is support for all kinds of activities for every age and walk of life, but perhaps most importantly the staff take great care of things so you can be as still or as active as you need to be during your visit. I couldn't more highly recommend West River."

"Beautiful camp location. I can't imagine what the land value is being so close to Annapolis. The dinning hall is large and very capable of feeding large numbers all at once. The cabins are minimal but have a very high capacity with a common room and are very adequate for retreats."
