Reviews
"Just joined. Regretted it right away. This place is super dirty and seems to be run my clueless teenage staff. Gonna work on canceling my membership/contract. Heard from a number of people that the owner is a total creep. Got coerced into joining- should have gone with my gut instincts."
"A beautiful gym that I will keep going to. Love the sauna and relaxing in there along with the steam room. I am shocked at the negative reviews. This is the best gym I’ve belonged to. Period. It’s clean, friendly, has everything you need and a luxurious pool setting with a bar in the summer."
"It is a beautiful and wonderful place to the right people. Upon entry, we are impressed with the building, the parking lot and the service desk and the very spacious lobby. Everything gives the aurora of a resort. the basketball court is NICE and clean. The bathrooms and family change rooms are nice. We did not try the machines. The drawback for us is the swimming pool. The room and water temperature is too not for training. For kids to play, there is no lifeguard on duty. Every piece of metal in the swimming area is rusty. The good part is that there are bicycles in the water for people to ride. Then i realized that it is called “Wellness Center”. Maybe it is meant for people to do therapy or recover or hang out. I hope the center could survive and prosper. I do not think it is for serious swimmers. but if you are close by, this center offers a lot of warmth and comfort and niceties like a Florida resort."
"Very nice facility. It is worth the monthly dues if you use it for more then just a quick workout. Everything is always clean. Most staff members are nice. Luther is the facility cleaner and is a 5 star guy. Ive forgotten some things behind a few times and instead of being thrown away or stolen, they were put at the front desk. It is cashless so you would need to use a card or your account but who wants cash and change on them at the gym anyway. Cafe has some good energy drink choices and is very convenient."
"Before I cover anything else, I have to question the validity of some of the reviews. Some reviews are from 6+ months ago before the gym even opened. How is that possible? I'm aware they had a soft opening but some reviews go back 9 months. The gym wasn't even completed. If you don't want to read my review and just looking for pricing, the information I received is listed at the end. If you want more information, they will make you come in as they don't discuss it over the phone. The facility itself is immaculate and still has the new gym smell. There are quite a few rooms with different options for different workout routines and classes (some of which are at an extra cost). Several examples can be found in my photos. Within the facility there is a spa / salon, daycare (extra charge), kitchen with decent selection of food (but I wouldn't call it healthy) yoga, and pliaties. This is place is exactly what it says it is a wellness center. Why the low rating? 1) Not trainer in sight, so if you don't really know how to use something you're on your own. Furthermore accidents do happen, someone should be able to keep their eyes on the training area. This is huge issue in my opinion. 2) Towel services are an extra monthly charge. For the amount being paid towels should be included especially when this center is claiming to be all inclusive. 3) Water is $3?? Just water nothing special about it. There is a water fountain so bring your water bottles. 4) Nothing to sanitize the equipment before or after use. If there was something it was most certainly not anywhere easily noticeable. It shouldn't be a game of where's Waldo. Luckily I wear gloves. 5) No lifeguard for the indoor pool. Again if there was one on staff they definitely weren't around. This is a another big issue for me as this facility is family friendly, which includes small children. There needs to be a staff member in the pool area to make sure no children, somehow manage to get in there. At the very minimum have something to prevent children from gaining access to the pool room itself. 6) EXTREMELY understaffed, even the sales department. There was only 1 sales person when I was there from opening till approximately 10am. I requested to speak to a rep but was told there was at least a 30 min wait. A few walk-ins turned around left. 7) If they don't have enough people the class is canceled. I'm not sure what the minimum number is and nobody was able to give me the exact number that is required. 8) Child care has very limited availability and can only take a dozen children. I did ask if there was a way for members to call and find out so they don't make a trip in vein. I was told people can come and go even if they call ahead. If you come in with the 13th child after being told there is space... too bad. This may not have happened yet, but at 10am the parking lot was 85-90% empty. This is certainly a possibility once they get more members. 9) Music selection. While I was there for almost 3 hours, I mostly heard 70s and 80s music. I do love reminiscing to the sounds of the 70 - 80s, slow jams and Stevie Nicks, but aren't really the best to workout to. Does it kill to play something a little more recent and upbeat? In my opinion if you are looking for an actual gym, you might be better served to look elsewhere. As wellness center, it is decent but needs some serious improvement in what I mentioned above especially with the safety of their members. The price should be on par with the service, right now it isn't. If management decides to make improvements and contacts me, I would be willing to update my review. These are month to month according to the young lady I spoke with. They do have 6 month contracts and yearly but with very minimal differences not worth noting. Once again this facility is NOT all inclusive. $85 per person + $199 enrollment fee. $130 for a couple + $199 enrollment fee. $187 for a family + $199 enrollment fee. Military discount is $50 from the enrollment fee."
