Reviews of Spring Hill Rec Center
"Old caucasian bearded man was so rude and unprofessional with my son during his first swim pee wee paddler II class. He put his arm around my son on his shoulder and said, “well, you signed up for this class - LISTEN TO ME, I’m talking”. There was a young hard haired male and a caucasian female with another pee wee paddler I class. The male told my son to “get out of the water and leave” because he said he wasn’t ready to submerge his mouth as soon as he got in the water. My son ran back to me crying. I just got my older son out of the pool and said we were done for the day. They weren’t even in the water for 5 whole minutes. Anne from the front desk said I was unable to get a refund because the program manager wasn’t present? She suggested I email him. I said I wanted a refund as the instructors were incapable and the class inadequate. She got flustered and then handed me paperwork to file the refund in-person. She finally tells me that they can’t fully refund me because I attended the class…She kept complaining that this wasn’t the appropriate manner of processing a refund. So it probably “wouldn’t work, just so you know”. Of course it worked. Then it came time to swipe my card for the refund but I was going to use apple pay. She said “don’t remove the card until you’re prompted too”. I agreed. I went to tap my apple pay against the kiosk and then was prompted to use my face ID to allow the tap. I bring my phone up off the kiosk to unlock my apple pay and she literally screams DONT REMOVE IT! I immediately told her she shouldn’t be yelling because she didn’t understand what I was doing. She immediately changed the subject, ignored me and continued to finish processing my refund. She had a teen long dark haired girl behind her who seemed to be shadow training because she was silent. So I asked her name (because why would she be in charge of training customer service reps with her demeanor) and she declined. I reminded her that she has the responsibility to share her first name with me since Im entitled to report this experience to her boss. She then said, “Anne”. I left and will never be back. Why would any of these people be hired to work with or around people and especially children? This place is a joke."
"I went for aquatics, place is very average. Typically crowded and no lanes available. Did not feel it’s clean. Some Karen runs the place. Think today is my last day there really can’t deal with places like this"
"Some crazy man in an oversized sweater was screaming at his girlfriend on the pickle ball court. It was very uncomfortable for my family, we left and never looked back ."
"As a grandmother, it’s been our experience that the Instructors here are fantastic. My granddaughter has been enrolled for 2 years in swimming classes- with successes in completing the tasks. I am happy with the training staff here at SHRC."
"I have to say that one, I'm thankful there's indoor racquetball courts available at a very fair price. They are also easy to access and use. Now the major issue is the cleanliness. These courts are disgusting. They don't appear to have been cleaned for months. There are hairballs, gum, fluids and other junk all over the courts. Young people, kids, use these courts too. It made me wonder how the rest of the rec center is cleaned. And the answer is not very well. Now I completely understand that staff is hard to find and keep. But cleaning these courts doesn't seem lime it would take undue amounts of time. 2 stars rating, very inconsistent. Proceed at your own health risk."
