"My husband and I had to file bankruptcy back in 2011 and we used Jim Zimmerman. At the time we were a bit ignorant on the process and he really didn’t explain much to us nor told us when we could purchase another home after the waiting period from a bankruptcy. We did eventually purchase something but believed we needed my mother in law to co-sign to purchase (which we later found out that we did not). None of this is Jim’s fault, of course, but now that we’re in a situation with mother in law to now remove her from deed to gain sole ownership of our home she wants to (despite the fact she has not spent a dime on home nor pays the mortgage on home) wants to add it in her will to three other children that joint tenancy of our home. I called Jim Zimmerman’s office two weeks ago to set up a consultation to complete quitclaim deed paperwork and if we needed to go further with suing mother in law for the money we had paid her to buy her out and with her notarized agreement to sign herself from deed, but he never returned our call. I guess if the lawyer sees no money in helping someone he then doesn’t call people back! Of course we will eventually find a lawyer to help us in the process but I do want to post that I’m not happy that (in our desperate time of need for legal assistance) Jim Zimmerman wouldn’t even call us back or give us the time of day! Not professional and I would not recommend him to anyone, ever! His receptionist had promised me that she would relay my message and Jim would return our call, but he never did. If I would have known what kind of a person he was in 2011 I would have NEVER used him in our bankruptcy either! Awful person! Uncaring! Inconsiderate! Doesn’t return calls! Never use him!"
