Reviews of Lowe's Home Improvement
"Updated 1/4/24 (I would like to speak with a store manager): A couple of months ago I bought a table saw. The man in the tool department was phenomenal. He was excellent at his job, knowledgable, professional and courteous. He was so good that I waited in line at the customer service desk to speak with a store manager about how good he was. After several pages no one came. Finally, the woman runnning the customer service counter grabbed an employee walking by and asked if he could help her out. She then pointed at me and said “he would like to speak to a manager”. He came up to me and asked how he could help. I asked if he was a manager and he said it was but not of the tool section or the store. I passed on a very nice review of the employee in the tool section. He told me the best way I could help him is to fill out a survey on the receipt (which I did). I went hope and assembled the saw. The last bolt had not been milled properly and there were no threads, rendering the saw useless. I went back to the store and talked the the young customer service rep who informed me I would have to buy a new bolt. Have been to this lowes a few nights over the past couple weeks. Every time they are very nice, courteous, and out of their way to be helpful. Tonight was the topper. My family came to get some stuff for a Halloween project. My son wanted to look at the Halloween stuff and push the “try me” buttons to show daddy what they do. I could hear the store manager in the background who had a great professional report with the staff. He asked us if we needed help then helped my son with pushing the “try me buttons”. We went to the plumbing section to get the parts we needed for the project. The store manager was walking by and said “oh I saw you in Halloween section, how are you hear do you need help”. I proceeded to browse as I was thinking about my project. The gentleman working in the plumbing section came over and asked if we needed help. I told him I needed pipe but it’s not for plumbing. He said that’s ok and then asked me what I was doing. He was very into helping me with my PVC scarecrow. My son has wanted the school bus car for a few days now (since he saw it last time). I told him on the way out. We could not find it and the manager happened to walk by again. He promptly went to the back to look for more. Two other team members came up and asked and then went to the the back to help in the hunt for the school bus car. They went through so much effort and finally found the last one. My son was so happy, he went to bed and insisted on snuggling with it while he slept! I live within walking distance from a Home Depot…I will be going to hills borough lowes from now on!"
"Worst customer service desk. They have a separate lane for pick up. I stood behind a man who was in this lane. They had about 5 people on another line for returns. They helped the man in front of me then let me wait a bit because there was only one person manning the desk. Finally another clerk came to help, looked at me and said “there is only one line”. I pointed to the sign that indicated this lane was for pick ups. She repeated herself. So I left without my item."
"I purchased Vinyl flooring for my house in the first week of Sep-23 and opened a Lowes Pro card to enjoy the welcome offer. Last week, I noticed the price of the same item went down by 0.30$ per sqft. I went to the customer service for the price match and got a shocking response from them. I was told that there will no price match since I already got huge savings as part of the Lowes Pro account sign up. Surprised to hear in the today's competitive market that there is no price match from Lowes.I tried hard discussing with the customer service and they are not in a position to hear as well . I have been asked to visit the store when an assistant manager is on . Not sure how many trips , I need to make to the store to get my price match and I am sure , the price will go again before I can match the price. Posting here as an unhappy customer and request everyone to get the price match guarantee before opening a Lowes Pro account. This incident shook my trust on Lowes."
"This review is specific to their delivery service. We will never use the Lowe's delivery service again or recommend it to anyone. We ordered an oven range, which had been loaded onto the delivery truck without its box or any other protective wrapping, and was damaged. The delivery person told us that the range "was just a little damaged on the side, not that bad--you wouldn't see it after the range was installed," and suggested calling the store to ask for a damage discount. He seemed to expect us to make that decision without even having seen the range yet. After asking to look at it first, it was clear what he'd told us wasn't true; the range's side was dented from bottom to top in a way that visibly creased the upper rim. The delivery person told us that this damage resulted from the forklift squeezing it during the loading process. The delivery person appeared annoyed when we refused delivery and he said we had to call the Lowe's store to reschedule a second delivery. That phone call was a nightmare (on hold for over 20 minutes, being disconnected, being rerouted, having to leave a message anyway, etc.). We were eventually told to call the delivery center. THEY then promised that we would receive a phone call within 24 hours to schedule a new delivery date. We did not receive that call. After we called again to follow up, we were told our case would be escalated and to wait for yet another call. By this point, we had already been four days with no oven range; we finally had enough with the whole process and decided to cancel the order and ask for a full refund, which we received. Bottom line: A company needs to keep items in their boxes and load items onto their trucks in a careful way that doesn't damage them. An item ordered "new" must be delivered in pristine condition and a company shouldn't downplay damage as minimal."
"Wanted to buy some pretty expensive 5gal buckets of silicone roofing compound, but as is usually the case the back of the warehouse is used as an unloading dock, so I couldn’t get to them. This has happened several times before at this store. They either need to dedicate space just for unloading pallets so it doesn’t interfere with customers trying to buy product, or they need to do the unloading during non-business hours. It’s that simple."
