About the Green Ridge Youth Center
Green Ridge Youth Center, located at 15 Mile Creek Road in Flintstone, Maryland, United States, has a rich history dating back to May 1955 when it first opened as the Green Ridge Forestry Camp for Boys. Over the years, the institution has evolved and is now known as Green Ridge Youth Center (GRYC), serving male youth who have been court-ordered to receive treatment services.
The treatment program at GRYC typically lasts six to nine months and includes dietary, medical, educational, and counseling services, as well as recreational activities. Youth residing at GYRC attend school on-site year-round, five days a week for six hours a day.
Superintendent John Hare and Assistant Superintendent Corey Marshall oversee the operations at GRYC. The institution also has a strict visitation policy, requiring a 24-hour RSVP to the Case Manager for non-routine visits that do not interfere with the youth's schooling.
In addition to providing services to the youth, GRYC is committed to safeguarding their well-being and has resources in place such as the National Human Trafficking Hotline and the Maryland General Assembly's fraud hotline. These measures help ensure the safety and security of the youth in their care.

Reviews of Green Ridge Youth Center
"I spent almost 1 year here back in 2007-2008 I can truly say it helped me to become the man I am today. Everyone makes mistakes living the young and wild life but there's always a 2nd chance to turn your life around. At first I hated that place but after I had a 1 on 1 conversation with myself I started seeing the good this center had to offer. Mr.white and Mr. Hurshburger really made a impact on my life. I want to thank them and all the staff that was working there at that time. Great memories now looking back."
"My son spent several months at this facility in 1998. It was the best thing that could have happened to him and I truly believe it helped save his life."
