"Great part of American history! The park is kept very clean and the fort was a very short walk to get to. The fort has a little shelter area inside with some replicas of how it may have looked from back in the time it was an active fort. The trail is very scenic and there are other trails other than the one ti get to the fort that you can go on. Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit the visitor center or the gift shop. I will update when I an able to. During the season at the time I was there the tavern was closed."
"Really well maintained trials, great exhibit, and friendly rangers. The fort/battlefield is in a marsh, you’ll find tennis ball size holes in that are crabs living in the low water table. If look down one, you’ll see the standing water just inches down!"
"The Indian and Soldier reenactors were wonderful! The costumes were very realistic. I enjoyed the historical background they offered and the shooting reenactment. It would be great if they could have battle reenactments there too."
"Really interesting spot to visit if you’re a National Parks enthusiast! It’s not much, but definitely worth a visit if you want to learn more about George Washington’s early career or just want a glance into actions that led to the revolutionary war! Not the best park, only stayed a little while because there was only so much to do, but it was a nice stop!"
"Amazing piece of history hidden off a another historical road. The museum was extremely detailed and the video was extensive. The fort was amazing. It's not that big but the staff knows everything about the site. The rangers definitely were the crowning jewel of the site with their knowledge."
