"Fun thing to do while we was hanging out for the weekend. Crew was courteous and boat was clean. The captain runs a tight ship. He also had a calming voice as well."

"It was a fun, no-frills boat ride with some stories and historical information (mostly prerecorded) playing over speakers, which was at times difficult to hear. There were comfy folding heavy plastic chairs on the upper deck and smaller plastic armed chairs on the main deck. You can view everything from anywhere inside the upper deck. No AC but it isn’t needed. One working bathroom (head) with a small toilet (like on an airplane) and small sink on the main deck. A small snack stand with chips, water, beer and wine for sale. It was pretty cool to see the giant paddle power the boat. All in all a pleasant experience. Even my dog enjoyed it (small dogs are permitted at the discretion of the captain for a $10 children’s fare)."

"Wonderful steamboat trip on Lake Chautauqua. Beautiful restored steamboat that gives historical information about Chautauqua. Highly recommend the trip and Captain Matt was a joy to listen to. Loved it!"

"Okay. I was looking forward to a lovely cruise on this beautiful Lake Chautauqua day, with my friends. I'm an old guy, but experienced and wise (fairly). I was SO turned off by the LOUD music, which one couldn't get away from, and later, by the continuous banter of the owner. Granted, it's his boat. Be as self-serving as you want. Frankly, I probably would never go back. Perhaps to a private party, which I hear can be fun. For a first time, it was a bust for me. We all took Advil, so at least there were no headaches. One of my 70 year old friends remarked she was 'Happy she didn't put in her hearing aids.' Explain to me, first, why the volume has to be so loud, and second, TMI on the history. Five little elevator speeches, about interesting stuff would serve your clients better. Fold some nice background music in between. Think about it. PS: Write a historical book about, The Belle, the Lake, and the immense history that you know. Sell it onboard and online for a little extra cash."
