Reviews of La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Baltimore Downtown
"This hotel was the worst one that i experienced ever in my life. I was given a room where wifi wasn't working. Then, i moved to another room where the water tap in the bathtub was totally broken and water was falling continuously. Again, i moved to 3rd room where there was not towel, toilet tissue, and most importantly AC wasn't functioning properly in cold. Also, there were some metal extensions from the bed and my child was got injured with the metal. They never addressed such an injurious thing before. The bottom line is that never ever go for this hotel."
"WORST EXPERIENCE!! Some of my family members coming from another state stayed here for the night, and they stole money from their car in the hotel. One of the floors smells like medicine, and the other one smells like Marijuana. There were stains on the walls, unknown liquid in the elevator floor, and broken furniture. Staff was really rude, and when they came back to the hotel to check out, there was a fight happening in the lobby, and the police had to be involved. Area is also unsafe, don't stay here."
"Just because they call it La Quinta, doesn't mean it really belongs to La Quinta company. The location was great for us because we were able to walk to market, eatery and attractions we wanted to visit. The building is extremely worn down. The rooms are very small. We barely had a spot to place our luggage. We were out most of the day, so it was not too much of an inconvenience. The first room we checked into had stains on box spring sheet and window curtains. There were 2 flies in room too. The front desk gentleman was nice and did get us another room. No stains, but the door was crooked and we had to push very hard to close. We also did not have comforters in the second room. Like other reviews with pictures, the furniture was broken, edges coming off and getting caught on items as we passed by in the cramped space. Mold on ceiling. The windows are too high to look out of. Here is a funny story. After breakfast, we were walking to lobby to leave, a lady worker asked my friend a question in spanish. My friend replied she did not speak spanish. The worker lady literally gasped and had a shocked face and stared at us. I am not fluent, but I attempted to see what she needed. She wanted to know if we were leaving so she can go clean the room. I told her the room number and when we came back, it was the same as we left it. Breakfast was sparse. One day coffee, waffle mix, and muffins were available. The egg omelette and sausage had burned rubbery edges. The next day, no coffee or juice. The church bells ring early in the morning. I was not near the window, but my friend was and it woke her up multiple times. The street does have some graffiti, but I didn't witness any crimes and I didn't feel unsafe."
"Mixed review here. Really nice room as far as looks. Nice bed, pretty shower, everything looked nice. Was able to get a room at the last minute. BUT really bad water pressure, the toilet overflowed, there was some kind of backup or clog or something, had problems with it all night. Water in the shower was only lukewarm. Had the tiniest bars of soap ever, even for a hotel. There was a breakfast available the next day, which was nice, but damn. There is no bathtub, just a shower, at least in the room we had. I did like the way the shower had glass and you could see yourself in the mirror over the sink. Very sexy if you're having a shower with your significant other. Not a quiet place to stay. Horns and alarms going off at night and church bells ringing earlier Sunday morning."
