"In November 2023, I was referred to Anthony’s law firm by the Philadelphia Bar Association for a vicious dog attack that occurred in September 2023. Being I am a New Jersey resident seeking to prosecute a Philadelphia resident, the little communication between us was remote. In our initial interaction (via telephone), Anthony was rude-cutting me off and speaking over me when I attempted to ask questions. He gave me a brief rundown of his rates and how he planned to move forward should I decide to work with him. He said that he would send letters to all those involved in the search for renter’s insurance and would work to obtain a copy of the police report I filed with the Philadelphia Police Department, as I was still awaiting a copy in the mail. He said that he would go through the city to find insurance if need be. Out of desperation, I agreed. They then sent a contract to sign via DocuSign and asked me to send photos of my injuries. There was no further communication other than a request for a copy of my health insurance. On December 1, 2023, I contacted Anthony for an update on the situation, first via telephone, and got no response. I then sent an email asking for an update. I received my copy of the police report in the mail. So, I attached a scanned version as well. I asked about the letters and included some personal information I discovered regarding one of the people involved. The response I received was, “Thanks. Letters sent. No response yet.” I was not informed of any such thing and immediately followed, “How long have you been waiting?” No further correspondence. It is now January 29, 2024, and after three days of reaching out via telephone for an update to no avail, after being sent to voicemail multiple times, I received a phone call from Anthony’s paralegal, Jessica, informing me that they are unable to move forward with my case due to their search for insurance turning up null. “When was I going to be notified?” I asked. Jessica’s response to me was that they “wait a certain amount of time.” She told me to pursue a criminal negligence case instead and wished me “good luck with everything” before hanging up the phone. All of this, of course, after I left my final message for Anthony on January 26, asking that he be more communicative with me. Only for him to have his paralegal relay the news that they cannot move forward. It is painstakingly difficult to believe I would have received any communication anywhere within a reasonable timeframe had I not initiated it. Moreover, I find it insensitive and unprofessional for Anthony not to communicate with me directly in the conclusion of this matter. Based on the poor service I received, this law firm is unreliable, unprofessional, and insensitive. With this being a Philadelphia Bar Association referral, I am very disappointed."
