Reviews of Mirim Korean & Japanese restaurant
"My wife and I really enjoy the sushi they serve here. We are always satisfied and the quality has remained consistent each time too. We always recommend friends to try there too. However it seems they charge a 10% carry out fee and an extra 3.5% credit charge fee if you use that too. They have numerous signs letting you know beforehand. For a place that is constantly changing their price on numerous items because costs change constantly, it really seems like a cheap way to just over charge people. I don't mind paying for quality but charging for " take out surcharge " is really ridiculous and petty."
"A Korean/Japanese restaurant has been in this location for many, many years. This is my first time since the pandemic, though, and things have changed. The restaurant is trying to look a bit more upscale than it has in the past, but it's not quite hitting the mark. The decor is generally nice, but things like the small drink fridge in plain site (and the fact that drinks are served in bottles and cans) along with the paper napkins rolled with a spoon and wooden chopsticks bring it back down a notch or two. As do the look of the menus. Unfortunately the prices in this menus match the high end look they are gunning for with the atmosphere. These meals are pricey, rest assured, and it looks like the prices often go up. The menus are covered in pieces of white tape with new prices hand written on them, and there's even a note on the front of the menu (I believe) saying prices are subject to change. My son and I both had the seafood sundubu, which is a soft tofu stew/soup that is served with rice. It was fine. Maybe good? A bit under-seasoned, probably, but not dramatically so. The Korean side dishes that came out before the main course were all pretty good, though. So that certainly helps. In the end, though, it's just too expensive for a place that lands somewhere between good and fine. There's not enough value to cover the price. The extra fee for paying by credit card didn't help there, either."
"Really yummy dinner with my boyfriend for a date night! We had 2 pork dishes that were some of the best dishes we’ve had in a long time, definitely would recommend!"
"This Korean/Japanese place is run by a local family, all the food tasted homemade and fresh. The atmosphere was great, the inside was cute having great decor. I recommend the teas, like honey citron or honey plum both iced were delicious. The side dishes were delicious and the bibimpap was great. The sushi was great too I reccomend the spider and Kani crunch roll. It came out on this cute platter too. I finished the meal with their crème brûlée which was creamy and nice."
"I came here on a trip and stopped by while passing by. I had a special hwe dup bop. it was really good. The inside was full of vegetables and the sashimi was very fresh. I strongly recommend it. It was my first time to try the Boyangtang, it was really good !!"
