Reviews of Skyview Pools, Inc.
"Owners are very nice and knowledgeable. Water testing is quick and accurate.Pool purchase and install went very well.Would recommend these guys to everyone."
"Purchased our above ground pool from sky view 3 years ago. Had a great experience purchasing the pool, getting our questions answered etc. However please be advised NOT to use their installer. Tony was the installer that we were referred to by Darlene at Skyview, it has only been 3 years and now that we have realized more about above ground pools it's obvious that they did a horrible half-a$$ job, and now SkyView and Tony will are suddenly not very helpful anymore. It's going to cost us a lot of time and money to fix Tony and his crews mistakes, and SkyView should stand behind or fix the work of their installers. Or in the least should stop recommending Tony and crew. Very very disappointed that we were put in this position, we wanted it done right the first time and we had no idea just how poor of a job they did. Save yourself a major headache and avoid sky view and Tony the installer."
"Love Skyview Pools. I now buy all my pool needs there (after being ripped off by Pool City). If I’m not sure on what size a replacement part is, they can figure it out after a few questions. Never had a question they couldn’t answer. Also had a hole in my liner that I couldn’t find. Instead of trying to sell me a new liner, Skyview told me I could have pinholes from underground termites. Then put me in touch with a pro, Bernie, who fixed several holes, agreed about the termites & explained how to get rid of them. Saved me a lot of money. Their customer service is excellent and I can’t figure out the bad reviews on such. I’ve depended on them for 20 years. Also bought a hot tub there many years ago at a great price. Always easy and good to deal with!"
"Overall good pool buying experience at Skyview Pools. The owner helped me pick out correct options and what would work best for me. Service at the store /buying was excellent. Only small thing you may want to be aware of, their pool installer is a 3rd party (tho been with them for a long time), and the digger/ site prep guy is a 4th party, and the sand delivery is a 5th party, and then if you consider youll need your own electrician (6th party). So you do have to do a good bit of phone work and schedule coordination after you buy the pool to get all these folks coordinated at your home to get the pool swimmable. I heard some other pool places "do everything" and i can see now that there is value in that. The pool installer literally just installs the pool, and all these other folks do everything else. Dont get me wrong, installer communication was excellent. Called and texted back and forth probably 100 times, all hours of the day and night. But im just letting you know who does what. When buying pool, told "install is $1200 + additional dig fees". Ok no problem, completely understand digging will add couple hundred bucks depending on your location. What they dont say, and maybe should say upfront is there is there is a bevy of other fees added like delivery fee, and a fee for every other item like steps, solar reel, heater, chlorinator, etc etc. So "install $1200", quickly turns into more when its all done. Maybe should tell customers that *complete turnkey* install is going to run you more like $2,000-3,000 +/- ballpark +electric, depending on your site and accessories. I feel thats a more open and upfront way to address it rather than just saying install is $1200+digging, and making it seem digging is the only other cost youll have. That and I didnt like they left ALL the boxes and trash and pallet in a big pile in the yard when finished. Too much for one trash day so after it rained, i had a big wet pile of cardboard in the yard for a few weeks until i could get it all out to the trash pickup. For a 100% professional service, they should take the boxes and trash bags away with them. (never told upfont they leave all the garbage or wouldve expected it). During the initial install meeting, paid 1/2 deposit down, no problem, and told balance due at install. pretty customary. Then a couple weeks later, got a text out of the blue that the digger would be coming the next day to level the site (thats when we found out it was a 4th party doing the digging, never told initially), and needed to pay him separately that day, and it would be deducted off the final bill. Kinda strange wasnt told that upfront and it caught us by surprise, but he was very professional and did a fantastic job. Then again little while later, got another text that someone would come bring sand tomorrow and to show them the site, but this person you don't pay separately, the sand is part of the install. Little confusing who we pay, when and why. Overall we are happy and everyone did a good job, just sharing this information so others can go into it eyes wide open and know what they are getting into buying pool here. On install day, an army of high school aged boys and girls showed up in about 4-5 different vehicles with the installer directing them and they had the pool up and filling in 90mins. Happy Swimming"
"My pool got a hole in the liner over last winter. My husband called Ed in October & told him about it. We've regularly used them in the past. I deposited 1/2 down in February expecting a call eventually to schedule the install. We picked the style & they put the old liner in so they knew the specs of the pool. Covid came & apparently put a hold on the place that makes the liners. Fine, I understand that, but we had to keep calling to see when we were going to get the liner installed. He would say that he needed to come out & measure before ordering & also kept asking what style we chose. Meanwhile, the style was on the receipt from when I deposited half in Feb! A month or so would go by & we called again to ask when was the liner going to be installed. Once again, have to come out & measure & what style did you pick? Really? Month after month went by, no liner yet & it was a super HOT summer! Finally, like the 3rd wk in AUGUST, we get the liner! I figured we'd have it by maybe June so that we can enjoy it for a while. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience & the wait. I was told there will be no discount & that I could go elsewhere & we would be given our deposit back if so. I felt like even though I deposited half in Feb, we were put on the back burner for other higher priced jobs! We will be utilizing another pool service from now on! Customer service is a thing of the past these days with many places unfortunately! I work in a high customer service field & we do all that we can to make people happy & give them what they pay for! Live & learn I guess. Skyview has definitely lost a customer!"
