"Andy is an awesome guy! The sushi really is phenomenal and the conversation is top notch. Andy pays absolute attention to his craft. Everything is super fresh and it comes from all the oceans. Ronnie is just fantastic and her smile brightens the room! Fish caught from literally all over the world and expertly prepared by Andy. Japan and Spain is the highlight tonight and it's just awesome."
"SIMPLY THE BEST sushi in Philly! This is not your typical, run of the mill sushi spot, this is a place where you go to witness the art of sushi firsthand. Don't be intimated by the generous size of the rolls, you don't have to eat them in one bite. But you'll devour them. It's been less than 24 hours since I visited and I'm already craving these rolls again. The level of dedication to the craft and culinary artistry is apparent. Chef Andy makes everyone feel welcome and gives a one-of-a-kind up-close experience that's filled with hospitality, kindness and approachability. There's zero pretense, in fact Andy encourages diners to "have it their way," no one's gonna shame you for wanting some spicy mayo with your rolls here. It's all about happiness and Andy delivers that in the shape of well portioned rolls."
"If you like a loud chef when you eat, someone who doesn’t know when to allow for quiet time, then this is your place. However, I couldn’t eat more than two pieces. The fish in the window counter looked old and stall, it tasted as much. The sushi pieces were far too big and fell apart. Nothing memorable or special, I actually had to open the reviews to double check if I was at the right place. These reviews appear bought, nothing from this place is wow or extraordinary. I don’t believe people who are calling it the best sushi they have had. It was the worst I’ve had. Plus, you won’t find a regular roll here. Everything is priced at $20 and it isn’t worth the atmosphere, the chef or the presentation, but more importantly the taste of huge chunks of fish, were stomach turning. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to set the record straight about this place. Worst sushi experience I have ever had in this city, and I am sorry I had to experience it."
"Chef Andy is amazing at his craft. The charashi bowls are just as tasty as they are beautiful. Fresh fish that melts in your mouth, paired with delicious umami pickles. My favorites are the shiitake and bamboo! Highly recommend the charashi but the nigiri is to die for. Feeling adventurous? Ask Andy to make you what he feels like and try the omakase!"
"The food blew me away. Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Andy was extremely personable and fun. An amazing experience that I definitely recommend trying!"
