"I was employed at Westtown KinderCare for the greater part of a decade. MY how the center has fallen. I was SO proud and excited to enroll my own child in the center that I was so grateful to have taught in, myself. When I toured the building (twice in the last year) I specified that I would need part-time care and was quoted a tuition for 3 days a week on the paperwork they provided me at that time. During my two recent visits, I was quite surprised to find the center almost completely empty - REALLY hurting for enrollment (December 2022 and May 2023); however, because I am understanding of the impact the pandemic had on schools and because of how much I had loved my time teaching there, I was sure that the love and support for families there was the same - I was wrong. I was originally told that my child could not enroll in January, and I was glad to find supplemental care in the interim. Then, Westtown KinderCare reached out and told me I was in luck - they could enroll my child earlier! They sent over the paperwork for enrollment and I pulled my son from the temporary center I had enrolled him in because I was overjoyed to have him at Westtown KinderCare - it was actually a dream come true! I completed the enrollment paperwork immediately and within the week, I was contacted by management (who had originally provided my tuition quote for 3 days a week) that they could actually ONLY enroll my son if we would be full-time. Despite my sharing that I had lost an enrollment opportunity at another school to enroll at their center, that we are less than one month away from needing childcare, and reminding them that they HAD been WELL aware of our needs and had QUOTED us tuition as such, we were still told we would be required to enroll our child full-time. It is clear to me that KinderCare Westtown is a failing center who is a cog in a corporate machine that encourages them to prioritize making money over serving their families or paying their staff a fair wage (which is why turnover rates are so extremely high). RUN don't walk to any other center you can find. The management is clearly completely disorganized and does not remember anything that has been communicated to them multiple times and is willing to completely disrupt a family's entire year and treat it as a little "whoopsie." It is embarrassing."
"I love this facility and staff! My family recently relocated to Charlotte, NC and we were so sad to leave our daycare home. Below is the letter I wrote to the Westtown Kindercare Director during our last week together: Lorraine, I want to thank you for taking such great care of Mason over the past 15 months. My mother-in-law had taken care of Finnley as a baby so this has been my first experience with a daycare facility. I was sick to my stomach when Mason was a newborn and I was touring local facilities; I just wanted him home with me or with his grandparents. Westtown Kindercare was the first facility where I didn't want to cry during my tour. I told my husband that I wanted Mason to go to Kindercare and we would figure out the cost somehow; which we did! In InfantA, Miss Becky and Miss Katie took such great care of him and I felt I could trust them to keep him safe and secure during the day. Then Covid hit and he stayed home with me for 5 months or so and we all struggled to acclimate him again to the daycare routine. I knew he was in good hands with his new teachers (Miss Holly and Miss Tina) and with you and Miss Karen. You even allowed him to bring his blankie to school and I laugh everytime I see his pictures on the Kindercare App with his blankie in tow (he looks like Linus!) Mason has been thriving over the past few months and I see him building new skills and growing in confidence everyday. He is happy to go to school and this has been such a relief to me and my "mom guilt". My favorite part of my day is watching him walk out of his classroom at the end of the day with Miss Patty or with that young man who works in the evenings; my heart explodes when I see him hustling to me at the door with his lunch box and blankie! I know I told you this in the past but I recommend Westtown Kindercare to everyone in the area with little kids. Please thank your staff for me! We will miss you all and can only hope to find another daycare home like yours in our new town in NC."
"My son has been going to Kindercare Westtown since he was 11 months old. He is now 13 months old and I can happily say that our experience with KC has been fantastic. A few good things I really like about this specific daycare is that the teachers seem to have been there a long time which is good sign that this company is taking care of their associates which is important to me. There are LOTS of windows! We are big on outdoor time so at the very least when they are inside they can get some natural light and see outside. And the biggest deciding factor for us was that they serve lunch which is worth its weight in gold. Vegetarian options aren't the best but we make sure we balance him out with a good dinner at home afterward. Definitely recommend."
"I would give 6 stars if the system allows. I was skeptical about sending my daughter to a daycare. She started going to Westtown kinder care when she was around 1.8 years old. Went there for almost 2 years until the centers closed because of Covid-19. She absolutely loved the daycare. Her teachers in each class are really attentive, caring, loving and what not!! . Center director herself knows each parent and kid by name and goes to their classes randomly telling them stories and interacting with them! Unfortunately we had to move out of west chester but i would recommend this day care to anyone any day!! Thanks a lot for the great experience!!"
"Very happy with the Westtown KinderCare. I have a child in the infant room, who despite his young age, gets very excited to see the teachers, seems cared about and well taken care of throughout the day. All the staff are extremely friendly and knew my and my son by our first names from day one. I'm extremely comfortable having him there. Its very comforting to know some of the loveliest people are looking after your child! Also the communication is great and the curriculum is wonderful, even for infants!"
