"Great Advocate for our child. Refer to her practice often. She takes the time to explain the “ process”. Extremely KNOWLEDGEABLE. Great at working with family and schools… passionate about her work and is NOT TIMID about helping you advocate for your child! HIGHLY RECOMMEND"
"Have questions on your child's educational rights? Questioning if the School has your child's best interests in mind? Wondering what can schools legally can or can't do? Absolutely schedule a 2-hr consultation with law for parents! It's very In depth, (they review all paperwork BEFORE your appointment, so your not sitting there watching someone flip through paperwork). They will answer all your questions, and advise you on next steps to take. DO NOT ASSUME that the school will do what's best for your child! Your child could have a wonderful teacher, amazing support staff etc but it's not the teachers or support staff that's going to be making final Decisions about your child. It's the administration, in a building far removed from the day to day interactions with children, who's only objective is what's best for the school and school district itself. For the sake of your child, don't sign anything, don't agree to anything until after you've had a consultation with law for parents! The best case scenario is that the school is doing what it's obligated to legally, and it's in the best interest of your child. Worst case scenario, school is knowingly violating a child's rights, and instead of righting a wrong they will try to exclude, move or expell the child from the district. You won't know unless you call. (Don't make the same mistake we did, and blindly trust the school district, in the end our child missed over 3 months of instruction time in one school year)."
