"Not sure how they are at landscaping, but l can assure you they cannot drive. Got cut off to the point of skid-mark braking. Probably should be more cautious if you advertise your company name across the back of a trailer you poorly drive."
"We selected Scapes to plan, design and build our patio and landscaping after comparing multiple bids. They are true visionaries and ensured that everything came together perfectly. We were particularly impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. Their project manager ensured that everything came together seamlessly and no detail was overlooked."
"The Scapes' stone masons are true artists at what they do. We had a flagstone walkway and stone steps installed and we absolutely love how it changed the look of our house. Management communicated well throughout the project and they produced a gorgeous finished product."
"I have been using Scapes personally and referring to my clients for years. They are a spectacular family run business. Honest, fair, hardworking and consistent. Their crews are top notch. They honestly never disappoint!! I am so thankful for my relationship with Scapes!!!"
"To set the floor, let me take you through our process and bring you to where we are today. Upon recognizing that we had a water problem (ie. water pooling near the back of our house), we researched and had 4-5 different companies come out to our house to provide estimates to fix the issue that we had. After much time and deliberation, we selected Scapes to perform the work due to their local reputation and impressive work portfilio. As the work began, I would say we were less than impressed with the staff performing the work. While we were not home 100% of the time that the work was being performed, the times that we were home - I'd say that the effort seemed minimal (staff was in the front of the yard, sitting in the work vehicle for extended periods of time - while the work effort was required in the back, equipment was at the house - but staff was never present, 2 person crew - for a seemingly larger project, etc.). But, because this was not our place to critique - we let it go. After being informed that the work was complete, my husband called to explain his disappointment. At this point, because it hadn't rained, we were only aware of the issues stemming from the lack of black dirt and sparse seeding. I don't know if it's laughable, or frustrating, but we were informed that the project was under estimated and that we needed additional black dirt, which was going to cause our estimate to increase. To me, if this was in fact true - why hadn't we received a call to notify us that the estimate was off and that to complete the project we needed to invest more? Instead, we were just billed - no calls. Operating a reputable company - I would have imagined that the team recognized and knew this prior to 'completing the project.' Were they just hoping it was acceptable to us? From here, we paid for an additional 6 tons of Leaf Gro to be installed. Unfortunately, the weekend (or week) after this was installed - we had a big wind storm and much of the straw and dirt ended up blowing away. While this is not something in their control, nor do I expect Scapes to fix, it's just a bummer of the timing and simply money wasted on our end. The end result - patchy grass growth. After this, we were nearing the end of October / November 2017 time frame - bringing in winter. Thus, we hadn't had much of an opportunity to see how the grading performed. Now, I can tell you after navigating the spring (2018) - we consistently have water pooling in our back yard. It's almost as if, the grading they said they performed, didn't even occur. At this point, we are not only in a position that our grading problem isn't fixed, we now need to hire another company to come out and fix - what we already paid to have done. Overall, I must say that this entire experience has been disappointing. As I mentioned initially, we selected Scapes due to the reputation and impressive work portfolio that we had reviewed. Not because Scapes was the cheapest route. So, not only are we in a position to have to repay - to have the work done by someone else, we're out the investment we've already made. My intent in sharing this with you - is that you wouldn't know there was a problem - if we didn't. It's simply disappointing that when you hire a company to complete a project, you invest money and now have nothing to show for the work (with the exception that a tree was removed....but the roots are now sticking out and showing in our yard) that was performed. Instead, I'm in a position of having to invest the money all over again - to fix the same issue Scapes was once hired to resolve. To make it all better - we tried contacting Scapes on more than one occasion - with no luck and no responses. Quite disappointing."
