"We had a fantastic 1/2 day sail with Shardana in late October. We had 5 in our group and the boat fit us perfectly. Our captain, Andrew and his mate were very professional and made us feel at home and comfortable. The boat is beautiful and had all the appointments you would expect. I would definitely recommend Shardana if you are looking for a great sailing experience."
"Not our first trip with Shardana, and hopefully not our last. We've gone a number of times, with both Capts Andrew and Davis. Both are great to work with, and will do their best to help you enjoy your time aboard. You can be involved as some crew and help work the lines, or just relax. Over the years, we've had the ability to cruise to Annapolis and St. Michaels, also to some of the rivers where you can swim and use the paddleboards, and even stopped at a winery or two along the way. This past time, we spent our first night in Rhode River, allowing us for a bit of swimming, and had dinner aboard. The second night were able to get a slip at the CBMM in St Michaels. The museum has some great history about the ships and industry from the Chesapeake Bay. You can also explore one of the vintage Bay lighthouses. We even got to see a regatta of "log canoes" (old sailing boats) near the harbor. Afterward we went to a dinner in town and got some ice cream. We were able to sail at least a little bit each of the three days (Saturday afternoon had a lull of breeze). They'll make sure you're comfortable aboard and enjoy your time. Mostly, just take your time and enjoy the sail."
"We wanted a quiet getaway and Captain Davis was flexible with trip plans, helping us customize the itinerary to our needs. A very nice boat with comfortable accommodations. We wanted to participate in crewing and Captain Davis was helpful and patient. A great weekend experience. Will recommend to family/friends."
"Andrew: Thank you so much for the time and effort that you and your crew put into making the Shardana Experience such a terrific time. Beautiful boat, well-equipped and maintained, very clean, and great for a variety of clientele. Making arrangements was easy and our questions answered. What was especially great was the follow thru! Capt Davis was a perfect choice for us! Before we proceeded, Capt Davis reviewed our goals for the day and went over safely procedures and life jackets which we had discussed earlier in the week. We could not be happier. Even the weather cooperated! Our goals were to provide Manda, who has no experience of sailing or boating beyond a kayak, enough hands on opportunities to engage her interest and confidence in the sport of sailing. My goals were to reacquainted myself with sailing after a 20 year hiatus and the Chesapeake area. We certainly succeeded accomplishing these goals and more. What a perfect day. Cool with enough wind to keep th journey interesting. Capt. Davis was instrumental in assisting us to achieving our goals. He kept our stated goals in mind throughout the trip, made useful suggestions to help us achieve our goals, selected a great place for lunch, and, as the day developed, helped adjust our plans as necessary, but always consulting with us. He really became our partner on our adventure. While this setting was not strictly a classroom, Capt Davis is knowledgeable, patient, and a very supportive teacher who encourages students with hands-on experiences, allows for mistakes, and can step in unobtrusively when mistakes occur. All his work with the Scouts has really paid off. It’s clear he wants students to succeed. Manda and I had a truly perfect day that exceeded all our expectations! We will be back! Thank You! Lang and Manda"
"Wow! A great sailing adventure, thanks to Captain Davis and a first class sailing vessel. Even mother nature and her surprises were no match for Captain Davis’ seamanship, including a remarkable 270° turn in challenging conditions. Take somebody you like and enjoy the quiet of a lovely anchorage."
