"We retained Knutsen through a trusted referral to take on a large makeover of our third of an acre backyard. The yard was essentially an unusable, steep hill that ran parallel to our house and was abutted by thick woods. The goal was to transform this into a terraced yard with two separate retaining walls that gently led down to a 30,000 gallon, free-form, in-ground pool and extensive adjoining hardscape patio, complete with ambient lighting, meticulous hardscape craftsmanship and delightfully appointed landscaping. Additionally, we asked Knutsen to coordinate their work with another crew that was building a 60 ft long deck that extended out into the area where Knutsen was managing the installation of drainage solutions, plumbing, electrical, natural gas lines and integrating retaining walls and hardscaping. From the beginning, we were skillfully guided along the process from concept, to design, to budgeting and planning/scheduling by Joel Hess. It can’t be overstated how complex this project was (taking well over a year from concept to completion). As a result, we have a beautiful, multi-attraction, recreational and entertainment area to welcome family and friends for years to come!
