"Great store. Very clean. They have beer, fresh sushi, hot prepared food, bakery, a cafe and a large pharmacy."
"Tonight was my third time coming back to this location and my last after the way me and my family were treated. The first two visits were lovely. Shopping was simple and easy. Tonight before my shop, I needed to exchange two items but did not have my receipt. Since I was fairly new to this franchise, I was never informed I needed to register my shopper card in case I didn’t have my receipt for future exchanges. Upon walking up to the customer service desk, I politely mentioned that I need to exchange two items, a can of tomato sauce and a bowl and basket jar of tomato sauce. I explained to the very rude Lydia that I needed to exchange both items for two cans of crushed tomatoes. At first she said it was fine and didn’t explain the policy further, then she called her manager, Sean (who was on a power trip), and Lydia snarkily mentioned that I had brought my items, that were clearly Shop Rite brand, in a Walmart bag. Didn’t know I had to keep Shop Rite bags IN CASE I had to exchange something. Lydia did not explain the policy correctly and Sean had the audacity to say “you have an attitude and now we’re not gonna exchange anything for you out of courtesy.” Courtesy? They just got done telling me they could exchange stuff because it was their policy and now they’re not going to? All because I’m giving back the same energy they gave me? So I guess its okay when the employee or manager has an attitude and harsh demeanor but when a customer starts to get annoyed at the way they’re treated, that’s an issue? I was even nice to them when this interaction started! Pretty funny how when I mentioned he was retaliating for no reason because he was on a power trip, he didn’t know what to say! They had nothing but attitudes and were very unprofessional from the moment I walked up to the desk. Sean had the audacity to say that I need to explain myself correctly, which I did (but neither of them were actively listening) because they’re “not mind readers.” To which I replied, that since I don’t work there it’s not my job to know THEIR policy. He seemed to hush after that. After being incredibly rude they finally decided to mention that I could exchange the bowl and basket brand of sauce for any other bowl and basket item. Finally! A solution that should have been properly communicated from the get go! Imagine that! Had that been mentioned by Lydia in our initial interaction, instead of her saying it had to be the EXACT same item (which made no sense) it would’ve saved me a lot of time and aggravation. I was treated poorly tonight and it was uncalled for. Sean has a chip on his shoulder and thinks he’s all high and mightybecause he’s a measly manager. Lydia feels some type of way about herself as a cash office associate because you can tell her demeanor when she’s interacting with the cashiers when they ask her for assistance. These two rotten apples have left an awful taste in my mouth. Sad because I’ve been shopping at various Shop Rite locations for over 30 years. Happy to say they will not get another dime from me. Do better."
"Every time I buy meat/fish products at the location, the food have an off smell and spoils very quickly in the fridge. Either store refrigerator is not working properly or the equipment they use to cut the food is dirty, and crosscontaminate the foods. Otherwise, the store is fine if you do not purchase the meat."
"I was doing a demo there, very nice store clean. everyone very helpful and polite.there remodeling the store. really looks great."
"They are over priced. Employees cannot show you the way to the bathroom without an attitude. Beautiful shopping center and ShopRite has everything there, but they need better staff. If locals buy from there I guess they have no choice. They get a 2-star because the store is very clean an organized."
