"Food an service is okay, expect the staring workers behind the counter. The atmosphere is good I personally wouldn’t to eat there but people are always. The beef and pork stew used to be good, now when I get it it’s always tough meat or the meat is too hard. The rice is great though cakes are good too i only get the milk an cake one"

"*** Aug 2023*** 3rd and last time I will be going to the new location. It just isn't the same. I have no idea what I was just eating other than bone shards and some parts of chickens. The trash coming in (and out) smelled so bad that I should have just turned around and left. I used to LOVE this place, but it is just not the same. Am I the only one that thinks this? *** Dec 2021 Update: I am not a fan of the new location. Hard to find parking. The neighborhood has trash all over. The food doesn't seem nearly as good. I just had chicken as tough as leather. They don't have any fried food today (for some reason) I hope it was just a bad day, but this is my second time at the new location and just not getting the same experience as 7th street.** --old review-- I love this place. Skip the rest of Hamilton Street and venture into this less than welcoming place to have the best food in Allentown. Sometimes I don't know what the food is, but it is always amazing. I stay away from the Tripe and Blood things, but my goodness, the rice and beans, the beef and cheese empenadas, the chicken, the ribs, the various pork parts, it is unreal. Take a chance and give it a try. It really is fantastic. Note: this isn't fine dining, but it is fine eating. If ambiance is your goal, this as of 2016 is not the place, otherwise get your butt in here and expand your taste spectrum!"
