"Pros: - Hibachi chef was pretty fun and incredibly pleasant and happy. - Initial ambiance was pretty cool Cons: - Host was less than welcoming. - Desperate need of updating. - Floor in need of mopping so bad could slide your chair around like ice skating rink. - Waited about 10 minutes before getting asked for a drink. When I saw the size of the drink I knew it would probably be the last time we saw the server. - Cocktails are not well done. Beam and Coke, really Ice and Coke, served in a Pilsner glass. Had to send back the "specialty" cocktail that the wife got due to "Cough Syrup" flavor. - Server came back once to fill up son's soda, but didn't ask another soul for anything thing else. Never saw her again....oh wait, I'm sorry, saw her when she brought and picked up the bill. Overall, this place has zero business calling themselves a Japanese steakhouse. This is an old school "American" hibachi restaurant. If you've been to one, you've been to all of them. Wish I would have went with my instincts and gone somewhere else. Not worth the $140 by a long shot!"
"Sorry to say, but the sushi was tough. My least pleasant sushi experience. Otherwise, Atmosphere and service was acceptable."
"When I’m in the mood for good hibachi, this is my go-to spot. I enjoy sitting in the bar area after a long work day or on the weekends. The atmosphere is very welcoming, clean and the owner and wait staff are very personable. I normally opt for the hibachi combo of filet mignon, lobster and shrimp or just all seafood. This is a great place to eat in Fredericksburg, Va. #japanese #hibachi #seafood #sushi"
"Needs a solid scrub down, all the plates stuck to the table. The restrooms were filthy and run down. The grill master was the only saving Grace, he was nice, funny and kept us entertained. More than likely I won’t go back, not recommended unless it is a last resort."
"They’re lucky to only receive a 1 star from me. The only good experience was with the cook and the taste of his food. The ‘So called Manager’ who didn’t want to give his name but we was told his name was Phil was very rude, went out of his way to offend and somewhat assault me and my daughter needs corrective training or to be removed from his management position. My bill was $98 and the only thing we wasn’t pleased with was their dry and tasteless sushi. The rice tasted old and the crab meat had an awful aftertaste. I’ve had enough good sushi to know what a spider roll should taste like. When he asked how it tasted he was told we wasn’t happy with it and would like it taken off of our bill. He immediately became hostile, was loud and embarrassing, and told us we have to pay while pointing his hands in our face. The whole time I tried my best to be calm with him even after he continue to be disrespectful. After I told him I would write him up he told us to get out and never come back! He continued to scream at us and finally after his performance was slightly over, he agreed to taking the sushi off the bill and once again continued yelling at us to not come back to his establishment. That was our first and last time ever going there. I wouldn’t recommended this place if it was the last hibachi restaurant in town."
